Let me start with the staff who were all wonderful. However dress code for staff should always be smart casual and I feel this could have been better. The environment was very loud and felt chaotic on arrival. Toilets where clean enough but very small and the big mirror in my cubicle was oddly to imposing. The food , well the executive chef for Prezzo needs replacing. The children's strawberry lemonade (vile). Harvester which is meant to be a more budget friendly counterpart has this product well done. Macdonalds cherry lemonade also tasty , Prezzo which markets itself at the higher end of hight Street has no idea taste and presentation very weak. Goats cheese salad some great flavours but portion to small and the price at nearly £20 ridiculous. The lasagna portions and price was also disappointing I was left thinking I should of gone to the chippy or got a ready made lasagna and salad from M&S. The kids opted for the pudding of Pizza dough strips and chocolate sauce dusted in a fine sugar. If this dish is as imaginative as the executive chef can get ,they need to get back in the kitchen and see that " pudding" returned half touched to the KP. Alternatively take that dish out to tables to see the faces of the people that are waiting in anticipation for a yummy pud only to be met with a dry, crispy , bland flat dough to dip in Nutella. The alternatives are an organic lolly, a sorbet , a plain ice cream. So many things you could do but no. The wine, I had a blush and a red both tasted watery , the red had no body and the blush too sharp. At the end the bill was wrong but not really the girls fault , two many deals or alternative to understand what was what for the staff. The bill was still £53 with kids eating free , I've never paid so much for something so tasteless and uninspiring. People who know good food and drink , have experience of this globally . Who appreciate good quality ingredients, value, will think twice about this product. This is the third time I've experienced Prezzo and my first review. I can safely say Bournemouth and Reading aren't up to much either. Prezzo you Italian fool I honestly can't believe you are still...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSome birthday meal this turned out to be. I have never had such a bad, aggressive, argumentative, condescending waiter in my life. A Tuesday morning in March was never going to be really busy, even so, I made all of our requirements clear in the online booking form. I informed them I use an electric wheelchair and requested one of the large tables overlooking the harbour. With 6 in our party in my sense too, it would mean I could get my wheelchair out of any gangway. I also informed them I am severely allergic to nuts.
On arrival it became clear all 4 of the tables had been given away. (All people agreed they had not booked but were offered the table on arrival) We were then given the option of 2 inferior tables. Having chosen the lessor of two evils and eventually got my wheelchair into this horrible rectangular table blocked in a corner, we started to look at the drinks menu. One reason we had decided to come to Prezzo was so the three couples would pay separately. Our usual restaurant brings us one large bill that has often led to much confusion to split as our group contains non drinkers etc. He then proceeded to tell us we couldn't so we said we'd sit at 3 separate tables as there were 2 right next to us empty, if he really believed that semantics would solve his problem. His increasingly aggressive attitude was not pleasant on my birthday of all times. This attitude continued throughout the whole meal. The meal was awful. Three of us had the ' coated, deep fried mozzarella', Well we're all fairly sure they were from Iceland and if they weren't then their quality was no better than if they had been!! Things got no better from this point on. All the food was basic and over priced. The wine was completely overpriced and not served correctly. Needless to say, all 6 of us have no intention of revisiting this horrible place and we highly recommend no one else does. There are lots of fabulous restaurants in Weymouth, this is not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were booked in for 19:15 on Saturday 14/06/25 and arrived in good time. We checked in and the person who did this went to clean and set up a table for us. We sat down, ordered drinks and then food.
The food took ages (we both had pasta dishes). Both our pasta was overcooked (but just about edible), you know the sort - split and extremely soft, but not quite mush. I also had some uncooked hard spaghetti in the dish too. I mentioned this to our waitress and she said she'd let the kitchen staff know, to which we never heard any more. Other tables were waiting ages for their meals. In fact, you could hear people sat near to us complaining to waitresses. (One couple who'd sat not far from us had sipped through a bottle of wine while they waited).
The kitchen seemed to be in chaos and a little fraught at times. It almost seemed like they were a person down in there, but weren't. It wasn't smoothly run at all.
It was also very noisy and you could hardly hear what we said to each other, also quite loud from other diners complaining amongst themselves and to their waitress.
I had also done the Prezzo app and for doing so we had free mini doughnut balls and hazelnut nut sauce. Well, they were the toughest balls I'd ever had. I certainly would have been even more disappointed in the Prezzo balls had I have paid the menu price of £6.95 for them! (Certainly not worth the money at all).
It has put us off going there again. I dread to think what the school summer holidays will be like! After this visit, I think we'd only return if we couldn't book in anywhere else, which is...
