Marlboro use to be the fastest at serving customers but the last couple of years as been very slow and since big Boris's Corona hoax they keep trying new Corona measures to show customers they are aware of the Corona nonsense. to slow down service even more, waited outside for ages while the customer before me was being served and when he left I went in and went up to the counter and asked for cod & chips and was told to go to the other end of the shop untill told to come to the counter, sod that lark I walked up the other end & out the door, plenty more chip shops in Weymouth & most of them do better fish & chips than the Marlboro, couldn't go to Bennetts as they only do all that click & collect stuff, so ended up getting a smashing packet of smoke salmon from Tesco's on offer at half price (£1.74) & a bag of 24 lovely packs of walkers crisps for £2.50 from lIceland, a far more healthy meal than greasy old fish & chips & at less than the half the price. Fish & chips was a cheap meal 30 years ago but now these days chip shop people want big 4 wheel drive cars, 100 inch 4k o-led televisions, expensive holidays & Sony flagship mobile telephones. The second attempt we were told home delivery was possible when using the website only. When using this on 3 different devices it didn't work, it wouldn't allow anything to be added to the basket. We had to leave it and try elsewhere, Bennetts also advertise a delivery service so we tried their website. We ordered seemlessly within minutes and the delivery was exceptional. As a retailer we are often asked where the best chippy is and we've always said marlboro but after tonight that...

What really stood out was how honest and thoughtful the service was. Instead of upselling, our waitress actually suggested we start with a smaller portion and order more if needed — a rare and appreciated gesture.
We ordered the cod bites with chips and curry sauce. The batter was light, crispy, and absolutely delicious — some of the best we've had. Everything was cooked to perfection, and I honestly couldn’t fault a single thing.
Highly recommend this place — it’s a must-visit if you’re...
