The Old Harbour Fish And Chips — Restaurant in England

I was a regular who used the venue both in person and through the just eat app, never having an issue. Lovely food. However! I waited over an hour and 15 minutes for a delivery so phoned up to question why it said on the app they were no longer taking deliveries as I hadn’t received my food, the person on the phone told me he had been updating the app, I said the app still says “We have received your order”. There were no updates. He said “what do you want me to do?” So I cancelled the order and he said because I cancelled it I wouldn’t get a refund. I had to question it with just eat, I said I won’t get a refund?!? But I’ve waited 75minutes for nothing?!? His reply was “THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM NOT MINE”. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! I told him his attitude was disgusting and I hung the phone up! Will never order from them again! Never had an issue with the app, so he was clearly lying regarding that point, I could have accepted it, tech issues happen, but to be spoken to like that I won’t accept. Awful...

The highlight for me was definitely the chips - perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and bursting with flavour. It's safe to say these are the best chips I've ever tasted!

Not only was the food exceptional, but the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Went there on opening day in June 2023. No Gluten Free option.

After reading previous reviews, we headed to The Old Harbour Fish and Chips and were very excited. Unfortunately we appeared to turn up on Opening Day under new ownership.

The overall feel under the new ownership was definitely not that of a 'Traditional' chippie. The order took 50 minutes for us, and everybody in the shop was waiting for at least that long as well.

Really terrible service. There's a chance this was because they were new and getting sued to things, but they just weren't putting much in the fryer and had loads of people waiting. Very strange, and many disgruntled customers.

The only reason I went was to get Gluten Free fish and chips and they don't even do it under this new regime...

Certainly won't...
