This new place was an accidental happy discovery that topped off my day. A young talented chef (from Tuscany), with admirable passion for the quality, tradition, and (as I love to say) the honest food, showed the genuine interest in sharing her love and knowledge with her customers, and getting the feedbacks the ‘old way.’ No need to say that it makes you feel very welcome and attentively served. She lightened up when I asked about her cooking and the sources she uses, and she proudly pointed out how diligent she is…. I love seafood. But that was another level of experience: the soup of the day – seafood soup (I was taken by), with the own made, fresh out of the oven (Italian flour) bread, with the genuine Italian olive oil – overshadowed the main course! (For which, I now must go back and try it again). I had a soup of the day, Pappardelle with Ragu, a bottle of sparkling water, and extra breads (cost me £26, with the lunch discount of 20%, which is offered from Monday to Friday). I truly recommend trying her food at least once and see for yourself. Let’s support the new-emerging, talented, honest...
Read moreI recently dined at Puro Gusto and was thoroughly impressed by both the exceptional service and the outstanding homemade food. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel like part of the family. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, offering great recommendations and explaining the new menu.
The food was the real star of the show. Every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and truly homemade. You could tell that the ingredients were carefully selected and prepared with love. The Duck Breast was a standout—rich and perfectly cooked, the Seafood Risotto as well. The portion sizes were generous, and the balance of flavors in each dish was spot on.
What really sets this place apart is the attention to detail. The chef clearly cares about every element on the plate, and it shows. Whether you're here for a casual meal or a special occasion, Puro Gusto delivers a dining experience that feels both personal and professional. I can't...

My husband and I visited Puro Gusto in Bournemouth over the bank holiday weekend, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. We were drawn in by the cozy yet stylish atmosphere, and we’re so glad we chose to dine there.
We started with the seafood mixed platter and prawns, both beautifully cooked and full of flavour – the freshness really stood out. For our mains, we had the homemade pasta with mussels and king prawns, which was absolutely delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the seafood was generous and tender. We ended our meal with their tiramisu, which was one of the best we’ve had – creamy, light, and not overly sweet.
The service was fantastic too – friendly, attentive, and genuine without being overbearing. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in...
