Visited Relish in Kendal over the weekend for the first time, a lovely warm welcome l was met with, enjoyed a nice bowl of soup with bread followed by a piece of Bakewell tart and a cup of tea. It was nice to see a more traditional cup and saucer but the teapot was a little small, and the lid kept falling off, just a very small point and didn't spoil the enjoyment, l would recommend this cafe and would visit again. Ordered pulled pork sandwich with no coleslaw, when it arrived 25 minutes later it had coleslaw in it. I sent it back and it came back minutes later still with coleslaw in… good job I’m not allergic to it. Pulled pork was cold, sandwich was missing cheese, and the bread wasn’t crispy like ciabatta should be. We waited 35–40 minutes for a full breakfast, a soup, and a roasted vegetable sandwich , which only had a tiny piece of roasted pepper in it.
