What can I say about Café Olive except... if you're in Kendal, eat here! This was our fourth visit. First, by accident, second, third, and fourth visits by design! It's a treat and a revelation all in one! Go early, though, so you get plenty of choice from their gorgeous menu! Once it's gone, it's gone! I love this place!! We popped in for breakfast thinking it was a traditional English cafe but was pleasantly surprised to find it was a Turkish cafe. We shared the Menemen with added feta cheese, toasted sour dough bread and a Borek. Oh my God, the spices were an absolute delight on our taste buds. Spices but not hot or garlicky which made it perfect for a breakfast dish without leaving an unwelcome aftertaste iron smelly breath. Delicious turkish cousine, extremely frie dly staff to start a chat with, always very helpful when asking for Gluten-free options. Last time I visited, I had a wonderful red lentil soup.
