Spotted St. Eia had taken over a former classic English type 'cake and tea' cafe on our first return to St. Ives following lockdown (after my partner had been going for 30-odd years on the bounce!). Although busy, lovely owners (sorry, didn't catch your names) were happy to lug a little stool outside to enjoy the sun and sit with a lovely glass of Orange bio wine (rare to see at all in the UK, but a real treat and beautifully dry). Decided I was enjoying so much I'd wait and get a table once others moved on, before sampling several more lovely wines by the glass. When I left, picked up a bottle of Pinot Noir and of Occhipinti (I'll admit based purely on my standard, philistine 'that looks like a nice label' test, and the fact that my initials are 'SP' so the Occhipinti SP68 was a shoo-in). Pinot was absolutely glorious; light, fruity, fresh, balanced and delicious, well worth every penny - just cracked out the SP68, and first glass is extremely encouraging....

Anyway, the little wine bar is an absolute gem, away from the craziness of the harbour and beaches, and absolutely jam packed with clearly carefully and expertly picked wines served by the chilled friendly owners. A massive asset to St. Ives - make sure you stop for a glass (or two or three...). We'll be back next year, hopefully to enjoy their promised charcuterie/cheese boards they are planning....)

Thanks...

This place is a little gem on the corner... if it had not been recommended by our surfing instructor Hattie we would have walked straight past... as it doesnt have bells or whistles... but we stopped in here, after a well earned surf and we were greeted by the most friendliest hosts anyone could ask for... we were sat by the corner window (i personally think best seat in the house)... You can tell the people working here are passionate about the food and quality of service, for both food and drinks...a small, but family run resturant and it just felt very humble and welcoming... A very chilled and relaxing vibe, they would accommodate wherever they could... We had the hake and sausage dish, with a couple of deserts, everything was delicious... We met a couple of ladies dining here, and they said every year on their holiday to St Ives they come here especially to sample their menu... most definitely worth a visit.. it definitely does not need bells or whistles as the service and food speaks for itself! We will be back! Thank...

Banging little back street cafe and wine bar that is a proper hidden gem and well worth the visit!

We visited this charming little independent restaurant back in the early summer and sat outside on the decking, sipping cold drinks in the hot sun and lazily watching the world go by.

The service was very professional but friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was very relaxed and modest. The menu is small but on point (how we like it). There is a great selection of wines and craft beers, and the ingredients are perfectly selected. The owners certainly think thoroughly about every element. The crab on toast was incredibly delicious, literally the best we’ve ever had!

We had a light lunch in the early afternoon before the school holidays, and it was not particularly busy. However, in the height of summer it is highly likely to be rammed. So pre-booking would be wise.

We love this beaut of a restaurant, and we would highly recommend to...

What a wonderful wine bar! We walked in for a glass of wine and some quick bites on Easter Sunday, both were very delicious. The crab on toast was super tasty, the rosé went down easy. We overheard how great the chicken pie was, so we decided to come back again the next day. We had the cheese and biscuits, capocollo, salad, all were very good, and this time both delicious red and white wines were drunk. Really love this place, the wine, food, atmosphere and very kind staff. Highly recommend to everyone. Thanks Charlie, Bella and Kitty, we really hope to be back! (and we'll have to try the pie on Sunday next time)

Nice independent restaurant which offers seasonal dishes. I wasn’t that impressed by the options for vegetarians which seemed to only be vegetables, I had the courgette and tomato salads. However, the sourdough was delicious and they do offer meat/fish. We brought a bottle of white wine for £50 which was amazing however, we weren’t offered an ice bucket until we had nearly finished the bottle as they said they didn’t have any spare! Overall there was a nice atmosphere but I wasn’t overwhelmed by the food at all especially considering the total price of our meal!
