Came to this restaurant to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. We thought it might be popular as it rated highly. I had tried to book a table for two on their website but it told me to ring for that evening. Sadly, no one replied, so we decided we would go along in the evening in case they had a table available. We arrived at 5 and a young lady told us there was a table available and she would reserve for 6.30 when they opened. To start, we had King Prawn with a tandoori flavouring. My wife had seafood tapas with mixed olives, balsamic oil and bread. Both meals were tasty. For main, I had the 8oz sirloin with a peppercorn sauce, chips and ratatouille, my wife had the Turbot on a bed of potatoes. Mine was nice but my wife's fish was rubbery and quite chewy. I tried it also and confirmed that was the case. There was a huge portion of green beans and some samphire. When the waitress came to clear the table, it was obvious that her food was virtually untouched, but she did not ask if all was ok. We then asked for the bill which was over £90 for starter and main. There is also a 10% service charge on the bill. I suspect the fish was previously frozen hence its consistency. We would not return when in the area again.
