When we arrived (with a booking) we were only less than 5 minutes early, we were not greeted, eventually someone said they would be with us soon. We were told our table wasn't ready, and to wait around and come back in 5 or so minutes. Then another couple arrived after our table was due, they were booked for the same time, taken straight to their table yet we still had to wait. Eventually we were told our table was just being set and sat down. Ordering drinks was a faff, mainly because all of the bottled drinks (cider etc) have no prices on the menu. Starter was lovely, we had prawns and scallops in a cheese sauce, it was so hot and fresh. Both ordered the rib eye steak for a main, my glass was empty but I had to try and catch our waitress as she ran off after serving it to ask for another glass. Issue was, half of both of our steaks were gristle, but we couldn't inform anyone as they were racing about. Finally our waitress came back and went to take the plates (clearly with lots of gristle left on it) asked if it was Ok, I said well, it does have a lot of gristle. She awkwardly smiled, said sorry, and left offering dessert.

I have had better steak from the cheap cuts at the local super market, disgusting really, honestly chewed a well done steak for less time. My dessert (sticky toffee pudding) looked the part but was dry and bland, just sweet with little flavour, my custard had a lot of skin on it too.

Such a shame and that our complaint about the steak wasn't taken seriously! The waitress was lovely, but she seemed so frazzled and unsure how to react to...

this afternoon (21/5/23) me and 10 other members of my family went for a meal at the Brassmills Keynsham for a tribute meal in memory of my nan (who sadly died in 2019) and in what would of marked her 88th birthday today.

on arrival and throughout the visit we were treated very well by the staff on duty and nothing was a problem for them or us and we felt well accomadated, it was in paticular my first ever visit and i thought the customer service was fantastic as the staff were very polite and welcoming and despite being a tiny bit busy the wait for the food was pretty fast, i did not get the name of the waitress who served us unfortunatly but my other family members all agreed her customer service was impeccable.

customer service aside what can i say about the food.... the food was AMAZING, i had the hunters chicken schnitzel for mains (picture included in this review) and double chocolate brownie for dessert and it was mouthwateringly good 😍😋🤤 and for me personally (i cant speak for my family members) the food was truly fulfilling

for anyone on here who works at brassmills and is/was on duty today i say Thank you very much, special thanks to the fairly tall brown haired waitress who served us throughout our visit and and big thumbs up to the chefs for the super amazing and delicious food 😘👌

overall a superb visit and will return again...

After visiting once with a friend and having a reasonable meal I decided to book for a Xmas meal last week, on arrival it was fairly busy but we were given a nice table and then left for quite some time before menus were brought to us. One of our group of four had steak from the Xmas menu and had to pay an extra £4 supplement for this, his steak arrived with a handful of chips and a few lettuce leaves and half a garlic, then the Xmas meals arrived, the turkey was dried up around the edges , there were four green beans and the cauliflower cheese had no cheese and was rock hard, also my partner asked for a couple of extra potatoes as only had three tiny ones and the waitress just laughed .all in all with the frozen sprouts which were inedible the roast dinners were a real letdown. We then had the desserts (we were still hungry) these were nice but all four different sizes one no more than a slither , with drinks the bill wa# over£140 and unfortunately both the men said they wouldn’t go back as whilst the pub is pretty the food is overpriced for what you get and there are several better value places to eat...

The food was so delicious and although the portion doesn’t look massive, it filled me up as the main was very rich (with a red wine jus) and the desert was filling while also feeling very light. I’ve got to admit it’s the first meal I’ve had without getting bloated but still feeling sufficiently filled 😂! The food was so delicious it was almost to die for… the lamb was the highlight of the day and completely melts in your mouth. The service was impeccable, the staff are lovely and were very eager to help out with anything! Although our meals took a little while to come out, the small amount of staff catered to our needs regardless and the food made up for it 😉. It’s quite chilly inside but not terribly, so I would advise bringing a jumper just in case. Overall, I had an amazing experience and the food was splendid!

We had a wonderful late lunch at the Brass Mill in Keynsham today, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! The food was absolutely delicious – perfectly cooked steak, creamy mashed potatoes, fresh greens, and vibrant cherry tomatoes that were bursting with flavor. The presentation of the dishes was stunning and showed great attention to detail. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for catching up with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right for us. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall experience here. We’re already looking forward to our next visit – it’s a gem of a place! Highly recommend for anyone looking for fantastic food and a cozy dining experience.
