Unsure why Gugle have asked me to review the Carters? I was last in there in 2015 and to be honest it kept a really good pint. The pub was filthy though, just like a real boozer should be. Haven't got a scooby-doo what it's like nowadays, great to hear it's still going. Many pubs closed down these days, look at what's happen to the Rifleman Arms down the road. They've built a load of unnecessary dwellings for the middle classes. I'll probably bob in to the Carters again soon and give their real ale a test once again....

Visited for Sunday lunch and ended up having to go to bar to help ourselves to menus, even though we had been shown to our seats. And then eventually went to bar to place our order. It was quiet at the time and staff were stood around (but they just weren't doing anything). Food was good when it came but vegetables came quite a lot after the meat and potatoes.
