I don’t usually like to leave negative reviews, but after spending £40 for brunch for two people and leaving really disappointed I had too. I fully appreciate that inflation has caused prices to sore, not just on food but utilities, wages etc. I want to voice that I understand that completely as I am management in the same industry and have been for 15 years. But, we ordered French toast, £10.50 without a topping, we opted for maple, bacon and bacon salt and that’s an additional £3.50 so £14.. for that price I was expecting a few pieces of French toast.. not one slice of bread, Even with inflation and using premium products, for what we were presented with, That’s a huge mark up! We also had the breakfast burrito which was ok, although I think the pairing of salad leaves with it was a-bit odd, some nice potatoes or something would have been more complimentary. We also both had a milkshake, priced at £5.75 each, on appearance they looked yummy. But once the topping had been eaten, they really just tasted of milk and if the same consistency, not thick, clearly not made using ice cream. We were going to get some doughnuts to take away, but after the bill coming to £39.50, I couldn’t justify it. Eating out is a luxury these days, with the cost of living impacting us all.. it was a treat and we left really disappointed. I would have raised this with a waiter at the time, but nobody came back to check during or after our food. The menus presented on clipboards, broken clipboards at that, when charging prices like that is also a-bit off. This is the most expensive brunch I’ve been for in a long time and we won’t...

The epic first impressions, with stylish, modern, carefully themed decor is only just the start, with the food across the board being fantastic! 🤩
Our party of 7 tried a wide variety of the unique Curious Menu, all of which we were highly impressed with the overall quality of ingredients and flavour of the dishes. 😋 Dishes included, Lobster Bisque, Lobster Bao Buns 🦞, Chicken Burrito, Beef Burrito 🌯 Both the burritos and Bao buns were delivered with a matching garnish and sauce that complemented the given dish to perfection! The Sriracha Mayonnaise on the Chicken Burrito is to absolute die for 🤤
In addition to this we also tried a range of drinks. All of the smoothies were prepared fresh and tasted as vibrant as they look 🧋🍎🍊 I personally had the BFG deluxe hot chocolate! Safe to say it was bloody bonkers! One of the best hot chocolates of my life☕️ I will be looking forward to trying the rest of the deluxe hot chocolate range!
🍩 To top it all off, the Bakery! What truly makes the curious kitchen stand out from the rest is its very own Curious Bakery. With options of fresh cakes, donuts and sausage rolls to eat in or take away, these freshly made delights are the cherry on top for this must visit business! 🍒

Read moreWe had been visiting this cafe in the last few years everytime we go on a cycle ride over to Brixham. This morning we parked our bikes outside the shop which was as wide as the sign of the shop and an outside table and chairs. A female staff came and said they cannot have anything obstracting pedestran. However, our biks are as wide as the sign and their outside seating. She also told us to wait to be seated. Although there was a plenty of seating available in the cafe.
We were not served so asked another female staff who sais fine for us to come inside.
Another female staff came over and atarted to explain what food is on offer, like soup. It was 9:30AM so we politely declined the offer and was going to order coffee.
The female staff who came to talk throgh their food offer came back and said 'we cannot have your bikes parked outside'.
So we get the message, 'you are not eating don't come here'.
It the bikes were the issuse, be firm about it from the start.
There was NO customer service, appalling staffs.
We had always parked our bikes like the same way in the past but today, it was a problem, with not a vaild explanation.
I would say the satt working was different, I remember in the past, male staff were working.
We will not go back again.
However, we found a lovely coffee shop in Brixham, very friendly, very good coffee and value for the money. So actually, it turned out to be a good thing...
