A truly unforgettable stay! Endeavour Whitney is a hidden gem that has completely captured our hearts. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the seamless blend of comfort, style, and hospitality. The location is absolutely perfect, offering a tranquil retreat with easy access to all the charm and excitement of the town. The accommodation itself is nothing short of exceptional. The rooms are immaculate, a testament to the meticulous care and attention to detail that is evident everywhere. We were struck by how well-equipped everything was, truly feeling like a home away from home. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, providing a perfect night's sleep after a day of exploring. And for those traveling with a furry friend, the dog-friendly policy is a huge bonus that makes the entire experience so much more enjoyable. The value for money here is incredible, offering a luxury experience without the hefty price tag. But what truly sets Endeavour Whitney apart is the genuine warmth of the staff. They are welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help, making us feel like valued guests from start to finish. In every sense, our time here was an endeavor worth making. We are already planning our return and cannot recommend this place highly enough. It's a perfect 10/10 and a must-visit for anyone looking for a truly special and...

Rooms can’t comment. Location great as near our holiday cottage. But not coming back, so N/A. Service a disgrace, in last night, barmaid on her phone constantly, No interaction/communication/personality. Asked for water for dog, advised bowls are scattered around find one. We did and as it was empty, asked if we could have water from this dog friendly establishment, only to be advised to go to the bathroom to get the water. I would have thought simple hygiene such as hand washing is suffice, but refusing to touch the bowl, astounding. This pub had nothing going for it, no character, atmosphere was non existent, and one of the most unfriendly environments ever, all due to the non existent service, not even a smile at any time. Barmaid would only talk if spoken to and honestly it was an inconvenience, as they needed to get back to their phone. Watching clearly from where we were sitting, bar staff heard the door open so stood up, turned her back to the bar, pretended to be busy and made the two customers wait, astounding. This establishment, no thanks, I’ll stick to genuine dog friendly, pubs, with staff who treat customers as such, customers, not an...

This lovely pub is full of character, lots of interesting olde world sayings stencilled on walls and ceiling joists. During the colder months there is a warm welcoming open log fire roaring away in the open hearth, it is also dog and child friendly. There is a fantastic choice of draught beers, ciders, not forgetting the choice of gins, cocktails and other spirits. There is a small cold food selection, including locally sourced pork pies and seafood platters. Your more than welcome to bring in your locally purchased fish and chips from the numerous fish and chip shops, the staff will provide you with utensils and condiments. There are a few cosy en-suite rooms at very reasonable cost (best booking in advance). There is frequently live music over the weekends. The landlady Maria and her staff always offer a warm welcome, coupled with lots of good local knowledge to help you have a great experience. Maria and her pub actively support and fund raise for the Royal National Life Boat...

A classic family friendly pub located in a beautiful coastal town city, The Endeavour did not disappoint from the moment we walked in, polite and attentive bar staff greeted us with a smile (amazing pink hair by the way) gave us a run down thay while they had cheese boards and pub snacks on offer, they do allow you to bring in food from the local chippy, (which we did) the only provision is that you (understandably) take your rubbish with you. They even have cutlery and sauces on hand. The prices are more than reasonable, especially given busy the place gets. The pub itself holds a traditional pub/inn vibe with plenty of seating and beautifully decorated with a very local theme, that takes great pride in showing the history of the pub and it's place in Whitby! Upon our next visit to Whitby, we plan on booking a room at the Endeavour so we can experience the city and night life a little bit more! An absolute must visit!
