We were so glad we stopped here for lunch, it was the concept that attracted us, we love street food, so thought we would give it a go. There were plenty of tables inside and out, with enough socially distanced space between the indoor tables to feel comfortable. There was a sanitising and signing in station by the door which was managed successfully by staff, you can also sign in via the app which you can use to order and pay for food by scanning the code on the table. If you don't have a phone or unable to scan the code, you can still order at the table, the staff at the door will explain this to you. If using the app, you gave to order and pay for your food and drinks by each venue, as they are separate businesses, however, we didn't find this a problem. Once ordered, we received a message telling us our order had been accepted and the waiting time was 25 minutes, and an email receipt. The food and drinks arrived well within the stated times, delivered by friendly staff. We were impressed by the quality and recyclability of the paper plates and cutlery, they were not flimsy and didn't break. We chose food from the Greek Kitchen, which was so tasty and fresh, it was hard to chose as everything sounded so good. We will certainly be back to try more of the delicious food.

The Food Pit is basically a venue that hosts several smaller independent food sellers. We chose this as it gave us a bit of choice with the kids. We were shown to a table and was told how it all worked. Menu has all the food in it, and then you order at the ones that you want. We ordered from two places and then drinks from the bar, everything almost turned up at the same time - although we understood there was a chance of some food being ready before others...! The food I had was nice (Budapest Parmo). It was all fairly easy going, which again made it great with the kids as we were not worrying about them upsetting other customers by being loud etc. The bar also had a good selection of drinks including cocktails. We all enjoyed the visit and would come again.

Got to sat the food pit was quite a culture shock. The food was very good & service plentiful, but there's not a lot of instruction regarding how the place works etc. There are several vendors in the building each selling different types of food, and you order your food from whichever vendor you like, but you buy your drinks from the bar, with the vendors being separate businesses. The vendors give you a tool that beeps and vibrates when your food is ready, so there's not actually a great deal for the 4 waitresses to do, other than to clear away glasses & seat people. It was a good experience in all, but being a traditionalist I think I'd prefer to stick with straightforward service. Good place though.

** PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR INFORMATION ON A RECENT VISIT ( 28/03/23)

Arrived for a late meal ( last orders 8.45pm.) served by Harley , approximately 18 years of age ? ... looked 16 !! (As in Harley Davidson she said ! ...Nice kid ! ). Meal prepared by Hayley who was grappling with end of day accountancy. A tasty Mexican burrito , a little heavy on jalapeños but chicken so expensive with inflation at 10%. ... NO CUTLERY !! Who should step forward but star of the evening BONNIE from the adjacent Greek bar she dashed and got me knife and fork. Very kind. ...... Found out she was 32, a Mother of a 4- year old whom Daddy on other shifts was looking after ( good partnership). When I explained to her that that I had a special needs background she commented on her autistic nephew. .....A good deal of identifying going on ! She probably had the same lovely smile applying herself to close-of-business mopping of the shop floor as when opening for service first thing at 11 am ... Such a refreshing young woman ! Enjoyed putting the world to rights with you during your quiet night shift and getting further insights into how young couples pull together to make ends meet in times of adversity.

Felt peckish and thought it would be poignant to revisit the Greek Kitchen once again after a gap of many months. Typically the 3 personnel mentioned in that initial review ie Stathis , Bonnie and Hannah were not on duty.... always the case isn't it !

However it allowed me the opportunity to be acquainted with the very pleasant and business - like , DEAN. I ordered the pork wrap as I'd done those months ago and it was particularly tasty. Just a large enough portion to satisfy and I complimented Dean accordingly ! Mentioned this previous review to him and it gave me quite a boost when he remembered reading the bit about me being so forgetful about my mobile phone. A very pleasant evening with thanks to Dean and best wishes to absent friends so to speak !

NB .. had difficulties with Google months ago so the Stathis / Hannah spectacular happens to be on Trip Advisor !!

I'm off to wash my mouth out before I get a good telling off from Google...

I'm furious. Family of four ordered 4 meals, 3 where ok. I ordered from the Greek vendor, grilled Halloumi Pita, this came ( 20 minutes wait, so most of my family were half way through their meal) out covered in cayenne Pepper and there was O mentioned of this on the menu. I took a bite but really struggled and took it back, she said "that's your choice if you don't like it" I stated I was very sensitive to spice and allergic to Nutmeg. I did not declare as there was no mention of spice/ nutmeg on the menu and seemed bland and simple. She proceeded to tell me the cayenne pepper is in the Pita, Halloumi and sauce too, so surely this should be listed as a main ingredient well apparently not! I asked for a refund which she agreed to and said if I had declared my allergy ( even if the food may not have the allergens in it)and she had known about it they would of done it plain, which I accepted and she accepted the ingredient should be listed if it is on the meal. All fine then? Well no, I sat down and we all wanted a dessert so went to order waffles and declared my allergy for them to refuse service, a manager came to rudely tell me she will not serve me if I have an allergy and had a refund from another vendor ( remember refunded as it was covered in an ingredient not listed) and could not be certain of cross contamination due to a shared kitchen! So who was lying then either you do cater for allergy's or you don't. Or I was being punished for getting 9 pound refunded after spending 30 pound plus on the other meals. They actually still expected us to buy waffles for my kids after that, erm no we left. I felt ashamed for asking for a refund, which I wouldn't have had to do if the menu stated spice in the first place, to be told to declare the allergy no matter what I ordered and then to be refused service for having an allergy. This place should be reported to food standards!...

We loved the look of the place and the guy that took us to our table was great. The app was taking too long so we went and ordered at the front desks which was much quicker. We ordered two tacos, a burrito and a smash burger with fries. To be honest, everything was tasteless, which was upsetting as we were starving and really liked the idea of this one restaurant having numerous different kitchens each serving different types of food. But sadly, my tacos had very little flavour and even the smash burger was very boring and tasteless. My wife's burrito was medium spiced but still had no flavour, the fries that came with the burger were also bland and a little stale tasting. Whilst eating our disappointing meal I got up to order drinks, there were two women behind the bar serving and the woman in front of me had an order of 4 drinks or so. I waited and watched as 2 people took ages to make 4 drinks and even when they were finished they didn't acknowledge me and continued to make drinks for people that had ordered through the app, I had been waiting that long that I texted my wife and told her to download the app, register and order the drinks through that instead. I continued to stand and wait at the bar whilst she ordered the drinks thinking that maybe the bar staff would be quicker than my wife with the app, they weren't. I sat back down to continue my now cold food. We tried to redeem the day by ordering some cookie dough and ice cream but it too was really tasteless. Such a shame as this place has...
