Whenever I visit SRM, I pop over to the Cafe. Usually it is a nice experience, although a bit over priced. Whenever it gets busy, all hell breaks loose. Today, during the half term activities in SRM (time when you'd thought the café would predict as busy) I waited 15 mins for a coffee and cake (after asking for it 3 times), and 25 mins for my food (after asking for it separate 3 more times). An elederly gentleman by the opposite table waited over 30 mins for a soup and drink. Complete shambles that could have been easily avoided if staff paid attention to taken orders, to customers sitting for ages at empty!! tables, and to orders that have been enquired about. Food had always been tasty but again, a bit pricey (e.g.panini with 2 fillings, as per picture = £8.50), especially with this speed and lack of attention to detail. Please fix it as it is not a normal service that I've experienced there before.

Stopped for coffee and cake while at the Somerset Rural Life Museum. The homemade apple and cinnamon cake is a real treat.(6/11/21)

Thoroughly recommend. Made very welcome with our wheelchair. Lovely cake and really good tea. Wonderful atmosphere. Easy parking.

Thoroughly enjoyed our platter and cider when we visited. We didn't have time to visit the Somerset Rural Life Museum itself, but were pleased to find that we could go into the Cafe without visiting the museum. Can't fault the quality of the food, good quality bread and cheeses used...

(Cafe only) Worst experience I've had in a while. Moved twice due to wasp infestation. Food was covered in wasps. Plus had to ask for the rest of my cream tea to be brought out. They forgot my mug, my milk...
