The Italian Shop — Restaurant in England

We regularly visit the Italian Shop and it’s always nice to be greeted by Katia and the team who are friendly and always happy to help. They have such a large array of Italian imported foods and drinks, enough biscuits to keep you trying something new for many months!

You walk through the main room into “the pasta room” which has a variety of types and shapes of pasta including wholemeal, gluten free and other speciality types.

There is also a deli counter where you can get high quality sandwiches, home made cakes and sliced meat to take away (don’t forget to get a coffee!)

Wonderful ! Passing by I stopped the Aston by the kerb and wandered over not knowing what to expect . A Cappuccino for me and a Flat White for Mick the Brickie who is apparently watching his weight 😂 A couple of Paninis freshly made along with a piece of Cake just to annoy Mick . I thought it wonderful and judging by the constant stream of customers so do many others . Sitting chatting to a couple of locals we had only just met about how hard these sort of places are to find and that’s very true . A gem of a place! My child is learning about Italy, so we decided to go and purchase some biscuits as a treat for him. Katia the owner was so lovely to him, taking time out of her busy day to answer his questions for a school project. We ended up buying so much more as the prices were so reasonable and the food looked so good (and it was, it didn’t last the evening).
