Appalling and rude service. Paid over £10 for “mini” fish & chips despite there only being this and large on the menu. Portion size was way smaller, borderline embarrassing, than anything else in the bay, of which you’d only pay around £6-7 for. We were waiting just outside as, being August, it was very warm inside expecting to hear our order number being called but we didn’t. After around 5 minutes and seeing newer orders than ours coming out went back in and stood next to the counter. When chasing up the order after another 5 minutes the girl behind the till said “oh yeah, it’s this one here” and gave us a box, not even being kept warm in the counter, that was right in front of her the whole time. Apparently they had been calling the number “loads” which they blatantly hadn’t. No apology, nothing. There must have been between 5-7 people working and there was little to no organisational skills. It’s not that hard to employ somebody with a voice who can clearly call out orders. The place wasn’t even that busy. We then sat down outside and were quite quickly asked to leave because, even though there were at least 8 free tables, apparently you’re not allowed to eat takeaway food on the premises, so I dread to think what they charge for eating in. Again showing their lack of organisation skills and zero discretion. The last time I had tried this place was around a year ago when I had to return the chips as they were still raw in the middle and thought I’d give it another go, but I’ll certainly never be going back into this place. It’s such a shame that Fishionados are no longer here, they used to occupy this place and it was so much cheaper and so much better, always with a very friendly service.

Avoid. The fish and chips was not great, and the biggest downside is the service for eat in customers. Tables not cleaned, and very dirty. Had to wait for the tables to be cleaned before we can eat our food. Poor old kid was trying his best to multi task. Found a hair, however they replaced the meal. The sachets of sauces are full of water. If customers are going to be charged, which they don’t mind please do change your supplier. You can’t even tell what’s small and large cod.

Yeah really good 😋 I have to give 5⭐for food, service and atmosphere the guy cooked the fish fresh I went with the haddock a bit expensive £15.20 but with chips and salad garnish in line with Pier Point on the seafront but a massive difference for me your sat in a restaurant at Seabank, Pier Point your walking around getting attacked by seagulls so not bad rather pay a bit more and relax sat down.

I would recommend avoiding this place. Here for lunch while away on holiday with two young children. Several items on the menu they don’t do anymore and give you your food different to what is stated in the menu. Extremely high prices for the quality of food and service we received here. The only pleasant part of the meal was the ham and cheese baguette, the sausage was soggy and didn’t look fully cooked and the kids fish was greasy and soggy. The young staff were very polite and friendly but the older woman on the till was very blunt rude and sarcastic. In the time we sat waiting for our food once ordered, the lady managed to upset three other customers by the way she spoke to people. Not a pleasant experience. Very poor...

If you’ve ever wondered what wet cardboard and disappointment taste like, Seabank Fish & Chips has the answer. £75 bought us two soggy, tasteless fish and chips, two jacket potatoes that could double as paperweights, and service so rude it could be bottled and sold as “Karen Essence.”

After queuing for 10 minutes, the lady at the till told us to ‘hurry up’… charming, considering we were about to hand over the GDP of a small island nation. Questions were ignored, manners were missing, and her tone towards my family carried an unmistakable whiff of prejudice.

Save yourself the money and eat literally anywhere else in Torquay. Even the seagulls have higher standards — and, frankly,...
