Had a lovely light lunch at this dog friendly cafe just off the high street

The savoury food selection is small, but really high quality ingredients and caters well for GF, veggie, and vegan diners. The food is clearly made fresh to order, with a great deal of care.

The chicken and avocado sandwich was 'bangin' according to my daughter, and my pastrami toastie was really good. The house salad was so fresh, I was not allowed to try the hummus because it was too good to share.

We were just chilling, so decided to have tea and cake after. The courgette and lime slice was thrilling, the fruit scones were perfect, and the caramel slice was also well received. I am not sure if they are homemade, but they sure taste like they are.

The coffee snob in our group was impressed with her latte, both the taste and the artwork.

We arrived at peak lunchtime rush, all the staff were calm and friendly, and created a lovely atmosphere.

Would recommend to a friend. Would visit...

Beware! An elderly woman was waiting in line who made a comment about the waitress being extremely slow...The Manager bustled out and totally shamed her age and referred to her being old and ugly....the Cafe was packed...(with elderly people too) he was most unprofessional...we ended up feeling sorry for the woman who did not shout but made a hasty comment...the thought being was the man could have handled it in a proper way. We were disgusted....every senior person there that uncomfortable. Who wants to witness a man bullying an elderly lady.it was appalling and on his behavior alone we have all of us found a more pleasant Cafe where staff do not suffer from Ageism. So this is the Cafe in Goodlands Garden....behind the closed Debenhams....I.m aware of where we were drinking our coffee.....but we go to a Cafe where such unprecedented hostility is not...

Came across this lovely coffee shop on our way from Enfield Car Patk going through not town. The coffee is fantastic … such that I had to go and buy a coffee perculator in order to drink their excellent coffee. We had breakfast there (Thursday), coffee and cake on Friday and again had the same this afternoon. Great selection of cakes … and the portions are not exactly small which is great! The breakfast menu is excellent. There’s something there for everyone. If you want good coffee and something to eat be it a meal or a cake, I highly recommend The Shed. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much bother …. And it’s all done...
