I originally booked this venue for a Wake after a funeral at St. Mary's Church. Contact with the venue was confusing having to deal with 2 different members of staff, who basically were giving me two different stories as to how we could organise the event. Eventually I thought we had it all sorted but at the last moment I received a phone call telling me I could not do it the way we had agreed but don't worry it will be alright on the day!? Unknown to me last minute messages were left on my landline having specifically told them to ring my mobile as I would be travelling from Cheshire. When we arrived for the Wake we had to re-jig the seating because some people had not made it! Then when we saw the menu it was Β£wise not the same because they had referred me to their Website - which was out of date!! And No we couldn't do it the way we originally agreed and had to pay more. Unfortunately the food was only average but the service was good. They made what was already a difficult...

I even received the offer of a packed lunch when I had to leave well before the breakfast hour.|My trip was a last minute decision due to family circumstances in the UK, and Reception (Amanda) did everything to accomodate my needs, including having to add in an extra night. ||Although I did not have dinner in the restaurant, (regretfully, as the food looked and smelled wonderful), I did meet various members of the staff in early mornings and or late at night, including the night porter. | Even though busy with the restaurant, Kim (and others) , always made time to have a smile and a word, with kindness. Every single person that I met, associated with the Tudor Hotel, was pleasant, personable and accomodating.|A perfect place to stay and I look forward to another visit. Thank you all...
Β Β Β Read moreFabulous, quirky hotel in the centre of Bridgewater. We had to go to Bridgewater on business and booked into the Tudor Hotel. I booked direct and spoke to Amanda the super friendly receptionist. The large restaurant was closed on Monday and Tuesday so we went into the attached cocktail bar, "Bar 27", which belongs to the hotel for our evening meal. The cocktail bar is fabulous, the decor and lighting reminiscent of a 1930's "speakeasy" giving a great atmosphere. Dan the barman is lovely and pours a mean cocktail! Dinner was a fabulous homemade burger with all the trimmings and a humongous portion of homemade coleslaw made the evening complete. Breakfast was possibly the best full English I have ever had, cooked personally by the owner. Quality sausage, lovely bacon and perfect eggs! To sum up, a great stay in a reasonably priced hotel. We are looking forward to returning when we can spend a...
