Slightly strange pub. Bit like a micropub squatting in the decaying remains of a large establishment. Skittle alley at back was in darkness but could see tables and chairs everywhere. Large garden at back but there are apparently plans to build flats at the back though rumours that the pub will close are not correct I was told. Were 2 ales available.    Read more3 walkers popped in for a late afternoon pint after a very long walk. Delighted to discover a choice of 4 excellent ales on tap and a warm welcome from behind the bar. The background music was perfect for us babyboomers - and the mixed group of customers made for a friendly atmosphere - making our Thursday afternoon a bit special.    Read moreI really love supporting local pubs when I can, we popped in on a Friday evening when Tortilla Cantina organised a pop up restaurant, unfortunately being just after New years it was a little quiet, but the pub was lovely, the beer was reasonably priced.
