A journey from Athens to Rome at Trattoria Lalis Restaurant.
As a devoted pizza aficionado, my experience at Trattoria Lalis Restaurant was nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. Located in the heart of the city, this hidden gem offers an extraordinary fusion of Greek and Italian pizza cuisines crafted to perfection by the maestro, Chef Manuel.
From the moment I stepped in, the ambience took me away on a Mediterranean sojourn. The menu, a splendid mosaic of Greek and Italian flavours, promised a relaxing culinary evening.
I started with the Greek starter, a masterful blend of authentic feta, sun-kissed tomatoes, and olives, evoking the essence of the Aegean.
Next, the Italian pizza transported me to the cobblestone streets of Rome. Topped with rich mozzarella, savoury prosciutto, and a tangy tomato base, Each bite was a delightful dance of textures and tastes, showing the chef's profound understanding of Italian culinary traditions.
What set Trattoria Lalis apart was the balance between innovation and authenticity. Chef Manuel's passion for pizza is evident in every detail, from the hand-picked ingredients to the meticulous preparation. The service was professional, complementing our exceptional dining experience.
Trattoria Lalis Restaurant is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey curated by Chef Manuel, whose prowess in both Greek and Italian pizza cuisines deserves every accolade. A must-visit for anyone seeking an unparalleled pizza experience. Bravo,...
Read moreI’m not sure what has happened and I think maybe the owner of the place have changed otherwise I can’t understand how this place have such a good reviews. I have ordered a calzone a week ago and it was the worst thing I ever tasted in my life. The food had no taste and it was all wet, it was burned from the outside and raw dough inside. Dough was very wet and all the veggies tasted like it’s just been boiled and put inside, no seasoning not even a salt! I complained and the lovely staff told me that they can make another order for me for free which I’m grateful for and today I have ordered a pizza thinking that maybe the calzone was just a bad one but I was wrong. I have ordered capricciosa jet another huge disappointment. Wet dough all the ingredients without any taste (like u put your veggies in a bowl of water to rinse and just chuck it on a dough) forget about seasoning there was none, no salt no oregano (baby food have more flavour) barely any mozzarella on this pizza just awful in general. The worst pizza I’ve ever tasted (if u can call it a pizza) we ate half as we were hungry after work and I couldn’t be arsed to call and complain again but I will definitely never order again and will tell my friends to do the same considering it’s not a cheap place. Never had worst Italian food than here! I think £3 frozen pizza from Lidl...
Read moreWe had a lovely time at Trattoria Lalis today. From the very start we were welcomed by a lovely lady who was very polite, helpful and caring. We got the menu and while we were choosing, she brought us a jug of water with some ice and a slice of lemon. Then we placed our order: drinks and food came pretty quickly. Everything was piping hot, super fresh and beautifully presented.
When it came to pasta I liked it that we were given a choice of pasta type/shape. Our daughter chose penne Bolognese. She had most of it, but because the portion was too big for her, my husband and I had a chance to try it too. It was absolutely scrumptious!!! Good quality meat cooked with rich tomato sauce…yummy! What I liked as well, we were given a generous portion of Parmesan cheese.
My husband and I had a pizza (which I didn’t manage to take a photo of as it was very tasty and we were really hungry:) and Caprese salad.
There’s a big choice of drinks.
And what was very nice of Lalis Cafe - they treated us to free desserts. Thank you so much for your hospitality, nice and smiley service and amazing food!...
