Wok&Go — Restaurant in England

Placed an order for the family directly with the shop in Foregate Street this evening at 7.30pm. We regularly eat there in town. By ten to ten the driver finally arrived. Following three phone calls to the shop and being fobbed off each time with "delivery driver is en route", do not order unless you are prepared to wait almost two and a half hours for food, rediculous, our Friday night has been filled with hungry family asking for food all night. We were repeatedly told they were on their way, but when the lovely young driver arrived he told us he had actually only left them at 9.30pm with our order, and as it was still on the warmer side, he will be telling the truth. I asked to speak to a manager, no chance. This is no way to treat customers who actually like the food there, shocking service. Don't offer takeaway you can't fulfill, it causes unnecessary bad feeling..I definitely will never order a wok and go takeaway, unless I need it 2 and a half hours later. Great business, poorly organised. Shame to see. I have to add one thing, the Prawn Panko cost £3.95 and there were FOUR prawns in the white box, so £1 each and were cold on arrival, though everything else was warm. This isn't a staff issue in the branch its a management issue. Its taking orders online that you can not possibly service on a busy saturday night...we rang the branch directly to make sure this order would be delivered in good time, rather than using just eat where we could have had...

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered at 5.30, food finally arrived just before 8pm, cold. We ordered via just eat and waited an hour, called the restaurant who said there were no JE drivers, advised us to cancel and reorder through their website, which we did. She said it would be with us in 10 minutes. 50 minutes later I called back to be told that the driver had collected it 20 minutes previously, but that once a driver had collected the food, it was no longer wok n go's problem. She told me to give the driver another 10 minutes. 10 minutes came and went with no food arriving, she again just said there was nothing they could do, it wasn't their fault. She did say I could order for a third time and go and collect it, which obviously I did not want to do. Food eventually arrived, stone cold, delivered by a just eat driver. 0/10, would not recommend, and Amanda the manager doesn't even know her legal requirements to actually deliver food you have...

Concept of the business is good but execution lacks experience and understanding from a customer perspective. When walking to the door, there was a very large menu which was too crowded and hard to read. Went in and tried to use the self service tablets but they didn't have all the options from the menu so I went to the server at the till. The woman was great and greeted me nicely but when ordering, she didn't seem to be aware of the menu items probably because there is so much on there. I paid over £12 for a vegan katsu, spring rolls and a drink so expectation were high. However, food was very disappointing. It lacked flavour and tofu chunk were extremely hard and chewy. Veg easily came accross stale and it was mostly rice in comparison to curry. Lastly, I am pretty sure I discovered little chucks of chicken in the pot too so cross contamination is at ease. Couldn't not finish my food unfortunately,...
