(❁´◡`❁) I don't usually take the time to make reviews, however I definitely feel like I need to for Yobu. Kind staff go above and beyond and put all their heart into what they do!₊˚⊹♡
Bit of back-story, I'm from St. Louis in the USA and moved to the Weymouth region of the UK recently. My home city is a multi-Uni city, and is overflowing with great, authentic, Taiwanese and also Chinese owned/run bubble tea places, but where I've moved to in the UK, not up to my standards at all. So, I've despaired! (´;ω;`)
Well, I visited Bournemouth this past weekend, as it's my closest "city". My husband and I took a long train and had a wander. After finding another not so good bubble tea chain place, my husband and I happened to come across Yobu. LIFE CHANGER! ⊂((・x・))⊃
Not only is their unique menu expansive, but they've also got a ton of super cute wares! かわいい! I was in heaven. Purchased some cute things, and my husband and I enjoyed a unbelievably delicious dessert after our sushi dinner (which the proprietor helped us find and recommended to us). :3
They have a kind and wonderful staff, I felt so happy! A great artist makes cups and bags special, the food is so yummy, and the atmosphere is welcoming and warm!
It's a long and expensive train ride from Weymouth, but I'll be making the journey as often as possible to enjoy my way through their impressive menu. (●´ω`●)
Art and reading, and generally hanging out is encouraged when dining in too.
I'll be going back for my birthday in September, and can't wait to get treats!
THANK YOU YOBU ₍ᐢ._.ᐢ₎♡ ༘ 〜〜 homesick...
Read moreWho am I kidding? Anyone who enjoys a beautiful Bubble Tea will ALREADY know this place!! And that is with good reason. I ASSURE YOU!
So for anyone who is thinking to themselves, "My friends have been talking about Bubble Tea, I kinda wanna try it". This is the right place for you. Might I add THE ONLY PLACE for You.
The staff have NEVER failed to deliver an incredible experience, from the moment you step in you can immediately tell that you are welcome. I have gone in at some ridiculous times at late to sate my Bubble Tea thirst. And have been treated and served like a king and with love... Every. Single. Time
But I have not even spoken about the greatness of the product itself... No matter what flavour you get, you wont be disappointed. I am a huge fan of soft drinks and juices. So the FRUIT TEA is perfect for me, as there is no milk in this such option. From there the list of available flavours are near endless: Strawberry, Mango, Apple, Peach... Alongside which you choose juiceballs and Tapioca pearls. Of which taste amazing and have the most delightful texture. I wont get too excited talking about because the conversation may become a little intimate 😂
Of course getting a Bubble Tea is more of a treat as it will set you back around £4.15. This price tag is acceptable considering the amount of pleasure you will have drinking you new FAVOURITE...
Read moreThe store has declined over the last couple of years. I used to like to come here a lot. The downstairs area has been closed for years now. It used to have a bean bags and stuff. It's only upstairs that is open and they've changed the layout. It is like they are encouraging people not to sit in the store. The seating area is like their stockroom full of papers and random bottles and cups. They now take your order at a desk in front of the store. The area is really small so the queue forms outside and you can't see the menu until you get to the front so lots of pressure when ordering. Really is in need of some TLC and they should bring back taking orders how they used to and not as soon as you walk in.
Edit: thanks for a very passive aggressive response. As mentioned you have over 150 flavours of drink. You order as soon as you walk into the store and the laminates that you have dotted about are not particularly clear at all. Every time that I have gone in recently I have have felt pressured when ordering. I appreciate you have over exerted yourself and over filled the menu but having stock all over the place looks very unsightly and it should be tidied up especially if as you say the down stairs is also a stock room Please take this as...
