I was staying in Exeter for a few days and chose to pop in here for food. I was interested to see what it looks like inside and if any of the original features were still in place.

I ordered a jacket potato and paid for a topping of cheese.

When my food arrived I had a jacket potato with cheese but no beans. Due to having a hypo I did not have time to sort this out so just ate my food. The food was warm at best but well presented. After eating, I approached staff who apologised and gave me a refund for the topping that I did not receive.

The following day I came in for breakfast before leaving the city to head home. I have the staff member my table number and went to get my refill drink.

I was waiting for my breakfast and wondering where it was. I was approached by staff asking what I had ordered as the person who I’d ordered my food with had put down the wrong table numbers and staff were unable to locate me.

When my breakfast arrived again it was well presented but again it was warm at best. Due to the need of catching a coach soon I ate my food and promptly left.

It’s Weatherspoon’s so don’t expect the Ritz but for that’s hot would be nice. It’s cheap and cheerful but would look at using a different Wetherspoon’s next time I’m...

We went to George's Meeting House to reconnect with friends after a prolonged period. While the location is relatively easy to find, parking posed a challenge, necessitating a considerable walk from our car.

Upon arrival, two bouncers warmly greeted us, a nice touch that raised questions about the clientele inside however. Being a busy Saturday evening, the place was packed, lacking any available seating. The large opening to the ceiling intensified the noise from the numerous patrons, making it challenging to engage in conversations. The staff were friendly and prompt.

The pricing, typical for Wetherspoons, proved reasonable given the extensive menu and drink options. Although we didn't sample the food, our friends did, and it arrived promptly and looked appetising.

In summary, our visit was brief. The venue's high noise level makes it less ideal as a primary choice for me, but if you're seeking a spot to gather with friends and manage to secure a table, it serves its...

Very nice adaptation of the old town hall. Arrived into the pub to order a few pints for me and the lads after being at the waterfront for one of our birthdays. One of the bar staff took one look at our friend who had in his hand a sealed pizza box with the remainder of his lovely pizza and demanded that we left as we didn't have a sealed bag for the pizza. We asked nicely if they could provide us with a bag and the bar staff rudely refused, and we again tried to reason with the staff that we would not eat the pizza. We were then demanded to leave the premises due to having left over pizza from the waterfront.

I am so disappointed with the staff as we only wanted to continue the festivities if my friends birthday. To continue our night we went down the road where another much nicer establishment warmly invited us in to continue our night as...

Fantastic, superbly designed pub. The decor is amazing, it really makes you feel part of an experience not just having a swift drink in a pub. Outdoor seating, well lit, great facilities. Disability access is a bit limited especially with the main seating area having very tall tables and chairs. There are other lower seating options but within the main body of the establishment this may be tricky for people with mobility issues. I also have to point out that the beautifully set out outdoor seating area is great to sit in but the only draw back is there is no table service and it's a looonnggg way back to the bar especially when you're relaxing.

Just popped in here for a quick meal after a 300-mile drive, so I needed food quick and, of course, a refreshing drink. Vet good value for money......chicken strips, chips, coleslaw and sauce, and a pint of lager all under £10. Yes, I know wetherspoons food is microwaved, but when you are as desperate as I was, you don't care. Service and staff were very good. The food tasted nice. The thing that unfortunately let it down was the tables had been cleared and wiped were still dirty, but apart from that, it was fine.
