Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Gloucester

I’ve been a regular customer at this Caffè Nero, but this is the third time I’ve received a drink that wasn’t made well. I ordered a takeaway hot chocolate with oat milk which is my usual order everywhere, but this time it tasted quite strange, with a strong oat milk smell and hardly any chocolate flavour.

When I opened the lid after it cooled down, it looked more like plain heated milk with maybe just a bit of chocolate powder in it. It’s disappointing, especially for a takeaway, as I had already walked a long way and couldn’t go back to get it remade.

I really like this place otherwise, but it would be great if a bit more care could be taken to make the drinks...

Disappointed today. Stood in queue for 6 to 7 min . Assistant asked me what i wanted, Cross the,man in front of me. Ordered coffee, when got to pay at till said no cash ,card only, Assistant pointed to a small notice saying that. Not obvious place and till the customers in front moved,the assistant already making coffee. Could display before. So had no choice but to Leave,without having coffee. Only had cash on me. Pity wasnt the day for free coffee with 02 priority. Waited till got into town to get one...

I've been an on and off customer here for ten years and the service is always impeccable with friendly faces. The decor is inclusive and I dont feel judged or self conscious there. The coffee is nice and strong just how I like it, but they also offer seasonal blends for the more adventurous or someone with a different palet.
