Bocca Leigh — Restaurant in Great Britain

After dinner with a friend, we decided to pop to Bocca for a few cocktails. Initially it was too full so we agreed to sit outside but they swiftly moved us in as a table became available. We placed our order which never materialized but it was picked up by a guy who seemed to be the manager and he quickly rectified this. My friend ordered an Amaretto Sour and I a Gin Sour. Hers was nice enough but mine tasted like pure Gin on the rocks. When I called a member of staff over to explain this as I just couldn’t drink it, he was sarcastic and behaved as if it couldn’t be anything other than what it should be. When I persisted, he flicked his head towards a female member of staff and said, she made it so you should ask her. I was deeply unimpressed by this. He made the whole thing very uncomfortable - really, who would complain if they didn’t have to! Eventually he asked me what I wanted done about it and I said I would just like a new drink that actually tasted like a cocktail so he rushed off and shortly I was presented with an Amaretto Sour. The Amaretto Sour was nice enough but there are multiple venues nearby where you can get really delicious cocktails and better service on the Broadway. The other odd thing was that just before 11pm, some children dressed in Halloween costumes entered the bar with buckets and shouting trick or treat but asking for money. Stopped off at end of evening with a friend for a drink as it was raining heavily. Ambiance was convivial despite the jazz background music we disliked but that of course is a personal choice. The cocktails were very good , the bar was quiet so service was swift. Shouldn't say this maybe but..waitress was attractive and attentive. However we had one cocktail each and after I checked my account the following day was shocked to discover I was charged £43. I understand that I should have checked the bill before tapping (and indeed should have given the waitress a tip). I called the bar to question the bill but was told I would have to talk to the manager who was not available. I managed to speak with the manager the following day and asked him to check my bill for time and date in question. He said he cannot follow this up and said I should have been more attentive whilst paying. I thought with my doubt and for good customer service he should have followed up and checked payment details. There was no "give and take" just a flat refusal to check payment. I will not be returning...

As I'm celebrating my 40...WHAT..!!! anyway doesn't matter😊 🎈🥂🍾🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🎈 We had a amazing time at the BOCCA enjoying delightful cocktails and nice relaxing JAZZ. There are great variety of prosecco, wines, conhac and champagnes🍾.

What surprise me also is that they serve a little apperitive (popcorn or olive's) including with the drink!!!!

Service 10 at 10. Clean spot on!
