It was a very hit and miss experience. The restaurant was really busy (it was a Wednesday evening, so that was a bit surprising) and we were told the waiting time for the food would be 1h. We went back to our group to discuss if we were willing to wait that long and when we came back 3 mins later to place the order the waiting time was already 1h 20mins. We were told to pick the food up at 8:40pm. We arrived promptly at 8:40pm to collect our order, but our food was not ready. In fact, it seemed they forgot about our order completely. We finally got our order at 9:10pm, almost 2h after placing an order.

In terms of the food... their single chilli spiciness level was too much for me to handle, I'm a spice wuss though. I didn't enjoy my curry because it was too spicy. The other dishes were much better, especially the Gaeng Massamun curry (number 40). The prices are rather steep, considering the dishes do not come with rice and it's £2.75 for a small scoop of plain rice - there were 6 of us so that would come to almost £17 just for plain rice for all of us! We bought some in Morrisons and boiled it at home. Because of our long wait we got some rice with our dishes for free, and it wasn't nice at all. Very dry, tiny portion, not fluffy and just not very nice, we ended up throwing it away, so I'm glad we ended up making our own rice.

Overall, just about okay. I've had better and I've had worse. If you see that the restaurant is busy, prepare for a looooong wait. If you don't like spicy foods do not take anything with a chilli next to it on the menu - their "level 1" spice is my "this is...

Sat us in the window, server eventually provided menus and took drinks orders. Food arrived in an extremely haphazard fashion - several of our group received rice but 20 minutes later were still awaiting the arrival of the main course. One vegetable side dish arrived incorrectly which the server corrected before we'd noticed the error, left both dishes on the table and said she wouldn't charge us for the wrong one. Main courses arrived simply as they were ready from the kitchen, not as per the actually order from our table. After 15 minutes or more of waiting for several of our group's dishes, and seeing another couple who had arrived after us eating all their meals, chased the server who didn't seem too concerned. Some of us were just getting our meals when others on the table had finished. Reasonable qualiyt Thai food, but service lets it down. Only one toilet and a bit lacking in atmosphere - big windows onto the high street/traffic, hard floors and bare...

Out of all the restaurants myself & my partner visit, this beautiful, little restaurant is by far our favourite and the one we frequent the most.

Not once have we ever left there disappointed or not quite satisfied by the food. Whenever we visit I can't help but try the Thai curries, but on our last visit we decided to try their Chinese dishes for a change. For our mains we had the chicken szechuan, chicken chow mein, and the sizzling beef - it was quite simply delicious!

The real winner though was the banana fritters and coconut ice cream that we had for our desserts - I won't go on to tell you how incredibly good they were, just try them for yourself if ever you visit! You will not be disappointed!

It's a beautiful little restaurant that has a very relaxing atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and provides a great service and he is always willing to help & accommodate you.

Definitely one to visit if you...

I've only been once, maybe a one off...or maybe not...I'm certainly not going back again to find out. I waited nearly 2 hours for my food...and when it did come it wasn't worth the wait. Warm, and overpowering....To top it off, over 70 quid for 4 meals. I honestly felt like I was robbed. It's a restaurant, if it's busy or if it's not, if I'm paying that kind of money I expect a service.....sorry, but mark and avoid, feels to me that they are exploiting the lack of restaurants in Brecon and over charging.... •Under cooked veg •Chicken was like rubber •Massively over crowded •Venue was so small you couldn't even hear yourself think it was so loud •A constant stream of people walking in to pick up thier take away, having to squeeze in everytime they walk in because there wasn't enough space.

Chang Thai Cuisine is in the old Cognac pub building. They have refurbished it very nicely and not over the top Thai style. We were one of the first in for the evening but there was a certain amount of confusion over what we had ordered, an extra coke that we ended up paying for. Our starters of veg spring rolls and fish cakes were very good and presented well. The mains became very confused, wrong rice quickly corrected but ended up with 3 mains, 1 of which was definitely correct but not sure which of the other 2 we should really have had! Despite all this the food itself was very good. We had missed one vital point. You can only pay cash! Really not good enough. Luckily we could still pay. Would go back as the food is worth it.
