Popped in today for a pasty and cake. Asked if they had any vegetarian pasties and the server gave me 5 options which was great and proceeded to ask for one of the options given to me adding 'yes, the vegetarian one' as she picked it up. I have now sat down to eat and to my disgust, it is a meat pasty! After asking for the vegetarian options and picking a vegetarian option I have been given a non vegetarian pasty!! Be aware if you go here as clearly there is no care that goes into any part of being respectful. Needless to say I will not be returning!

Have been to this bakery on a number of occasions over the years but this past year or so it's fallen below par ive never understood why none of their items are labelled or priced surely they are aware that people have intolerances and allergies i find it a real nusiance to be constantly asking what each item is they must find it the same I spent £10.15 on 4 items one of which was a scotch egg when I got home 18 miles away !!! I opened the scotch egg for my husbands dinner I had great difficulty cutting through it it was stale and the egg was like rubber they must have been on display for quite some time to be of that quality and the lady that served me wasn't the best I asked for 2 cakes which she then took to a till and started to ring up I then had to say that I hadn't finished looking not very good customer service either my last visit was on 8th Feb and needless to say I won't...

Consistently excellent. The sandwiches are delicious and you can custom order. Over the winter they do the best carvery rolls around. The kids plague me to stop every time we are in Brecon and everyone has to have a cream cake of some sort.

Pricing is very reasonable. 4 sandwiches, 3 cream cakes, a brownie and 2 bottled drinks came to just over £20 or about £2 per item. Much better value than a supermarket meal deal.

Parking can be an issue here but there are disabled spaces outside. You may have to circle a few times but a space usually opens up fairly quickly. If you absolutely want to park without fail, use the county car park next to Morrison's supermarket (chargeable) and there is paved/drop kerb access through Bethel square then past St...

I visited the bakery during a visit to Brecon whilst holidaying on the canal. I could not have been more pleased, what a rare treat. I am an avid fan of local shops as opposed to supermarkets and cannot recommend this bakery highly enough. It was open nice and early and offered a fine selection of sugary treats and hot bread. I plumped for some pasties, doughnuts and fresh white loaf, I was not disappointed. They also offer ‘afternoon tea in a box’ which my wife and I enjoyed further down the canal, I seriously suggest you try it. The staff were very affable and the products delicious, whether you are local or a tourist, I would heartily recommend...
