There are many cafe's in Brecon, but Coffee #1 is by far my favourite. I have frequented others from time to time, but always gravitate back here. The menu choice for both food and drink is impressive, especially the cake selection, you definitely won't be spoilt for choice. The staff are always polite, welcoming, cheerful & hardworking, but the thing I like the most about Coffee #1 though, is the café itself. The attention to detail, the eclectic mix of table & chairs, the brickwork walls & the cosyness of the atmosphere, it has an authenticity that's not replecated anywhere else. So, whether you're having a quick pit stop, or a longer catch-up with friends/family, I couldn't recommend anywhere better.

Lovely little spot for some lunch. Toasties were really flavoursome with ample filling. Some great veggie options and vegan sweet treats! We had the Chicken & Pesto and the Mushroom and Emmental ones. Cakes were really moist and felt like such a treat! “Strong” coffee blend was certainly strong but very much enjoyed it all. Service was good too with a friendly, cheerful and helpful staff team. Ambient lighting, classic music and a warm atmosphere. Prices are a little steep but similar to somewhere like Costa, however our food and drinks were much much nicer. Child and pet friendly with accessible toilet/changing facilities. Worth the stop.

First and only visit to this cafe . 2 stars for being dog friendly . Was told on arrival they were closing in 20 mins . That’s Ok long enough time to drink a cup of tea or so I thought . Think the one who served us was having training to make tea . Had his fingers in it fishing round for the tea bag . Then the girl started fishing round for the tea bag . 5 mins gone . Paid £5.40 for the two cups . Back to table waiting for our tea to colour up . When we were told closing soon . Tried to drink some tea but was still just hot water and milk . No taste at all . Left the cafe and our drinks !!

I recently visited Coffee #1 in Brecon, and I was really impressed by both the atmosphere and the quality of the drinks. The café has a cozy, welcoming vibe, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.

I ordered a latte with coconut milk and a slice of carrot cake, both of which were delicious. The coffee was well-made, with a rich flavor and perfect balance of foam. The carrot cake was moist and flavorful, definitely one of the best I've had in a while.

The seating options were comfortable, and I appreciated the variety of spaces available, from quiet corners for solo visitors to larger tables for groups. It’s a lovely place to sit down, work, or just enjoy a peaceful moment with a good cup of coffee.

Overall, Coffee #1 in Brecon is a fantastic café with great service and a warm atmosphere. I’ll definitely...

When visiting Coffee #1 be sure to check your bank account before entering. For £4.25 you can purchase a small glass of oat milk with a tiny drizzle of caramel syrup (ice and blending not included). If you’re feeling tired and need coffee in your frappes, as is normally included at other places, you can purchase this at Coffee #1 for an additional £2.40. I hope you don’t have a taste for whipped cream as this may dip into your overdraft as this is also at an additional cost. Forgot to mention this is for a regular. If you have a weak heart - don’t ask for the large! Staff were lovely, but couldn’t afford a tip. Hopefully these absurd profit margins are being passed on so at least they can afford a coffee at the end of their day. I recommend Brecon theatres coffee shop where you can purchase lovely coffee and cake at the prices you expect to pay in a nice...
