The food is worth the poor dine-in experience.
Wings: Best buffalo wing Iāve ever had. Nice kick to it. Korean bbq was tasty too. Ā£8.50 for 6 wings is alright value.
Chicken burgers: average. should come with fries. I donāt think doubling up the burger is needed.
Tenders: KFCās are better. A bit dry, not fully battered and lacking crunch and salt. You need a sauce to go with it.
Dipping sauces: need a supercharger or just better ones in general.
Fries: nice. like thick BK king fries. Tots werenāt fluffy enough and not worth Ā£6. Would stick with fries and get one portion between 2 people.
Although the food is great, the atmosphere and experience is awful. Itās too loud and the service is non-existent.
A lot of the problems would be solved if they had mobile ordering to your table. Also some instructions online about how to make reservations as everyone with a table has one.
They need signage or some communication for people coming for the first time. We had to find our own menu. There is no guidance on how or where you order food when dining in (FYI thereās a little desk on the left part of the bar). One waitress did all of the dine-in bar orders, food orders and table allocations so it got insane. They had run out of lots of drinks, but again no communication of this until you tried to order them.
They need someone / a sign at the door to tell people either to wait to be seated or turn people away if itās fully booked. Also a āReservedā sign on tables would be helpful. People were walking in sitting down and then getting told either to move, order takeaway or leave - chaos.
You should get wet wipes for your hands, unless itās a conscious decision to save the planet, in which case you should get a finger bowl (especially when there are no knives set on the table and limited napkins).
The Happy Birthday music is loud, tacky and terrible. Cheapens the place.
Parking is OK at the multi-storey nearby and is free from 6 but shuts at 8. It got super busy at 6:30 so maybe get there early Thurs- Sat.
But yeah⦠top tier chicken wings, so...

Pros: Polite young staff working really hard Food is fresh
Cons: Having to jump on any dirty table as soon as people stand up and leave because they do not operate a waiting list service, and then send one of your party to queue for food while you hold a table queuing to order food at the bar (which takes about 30 mins) sort out a QR service??!!!!!! (At one point over half the place was occupied by people sitting alone without food/drink while others queued so they could get served) having to queue yet another 10+ mins for your drinks which had already been paid for queues then linger around people eating, they then cannot see the TV's and also you don't want people leaning over you while you eat hardly any physical menus anywhere, had to ask a randomer for his & no website menu we were still able to order things that were out of stock??? Even though the order was taken by a human, right next to the bar?? No sound from the TV??? The very thing that makes it a sports bar.. apparently the speakers or something hadn't arrived so the atmosphere was weak tbh food is overpriced in my opinion as the portions are small and the venue is yet to make up for the £ the fact the takeaway queue is always so so so so long, people were getting aggy and coming into the seating area chasing their orders. They take on more than they can chew, which is a detriment to the sit in/sports bar vibe they're trying to achieve. "one till working to take food and drink orders" i'm sure this wasn't actually true and just meant that the orders coming in were minimised so they could keep up. sky box nearly fell asleep, as did most of the 30 people in the queue waiting - had to get staff to remove sky error messages
Feel like this place needed a whole month before opening or atleast a few dry runs as it's simply not flowing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot a great experience at the new bedford location. I've eaten at both hitchen and from Luton shops however bedford was a major let down. Granted it was opening night and knowing its popularity should have been better prepared at their customer management . At the time I arrived I was a expecting queue out the door as I'm used to from the hitchen store but there was not, don't get me wrong, It was relatively busy inside but nothing excessive that I wouldn't expect from any popular restaurant ive seen the hitchin store which is a smaller premasis cater to more customers then that was presant at the time of my experiance. The issue I had is that I was allowed to wait in a queue to order my food for a solid 40 minutes to only then be turned away by the server as i finally approached the counter, only then to then be advised that they were not taking any more orders at the time and that they needed time for the kitchen to catch up . Even though I was annoyed could understand the issue until I turned around to see a seporate line of people with orders still being put through for take away customers. The manager advised I could be waiting for at least another 30 minutes before they would reopen the till and start taking new orders again and then I would have to rejoing the back of the line to place my order. I understand teething problems for a new restaurant but they handled the situation poorly from a customer point of view when you think I was in the building for near enough an hour and a half and hadn't even managed to order any drink or food in that time . Disappointed Is an...
