After my partner and I had spent at least an hour trying to decide where to go for something to eat we finally settled on Frieda’s Tearoom. It’s a little tucked away but don’t let that put you off.
The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room itself is adorable and so inviting. There is a second room which I’m guessing is for parties or used when the shop is busy maybe we had a look through the window on the way to the main door and it just looked so lovely in there.
The girl who took our order was really friendly. She was very quick with the drinks and was always smiling while serving. Another girl brought our food out to us. She checked if we needed anything before she left us to serve someone else. It was really nice to have someone check on us during our meal. Normally I find that encounter rather awkward but here it’s like a friendly stop by and I felt that if I did have a problem they would definitely do something about it.
When it came to paying the first girl served us again and was very smiley and chatty. While waiting for the payment to go through on my card she kept talking and didn’t leave that silence you sometimes get which is not fun for anyone involved.
After we left we felt a little guilty for not leaving a tip but we had no change on us at the time. We will definitely be back soon and will definitely leave a...
Read moreThe reply that Jordan left to the review that Chloe Andrews posted is not true. Jordan was the waiter with green hair. We were not asked if we wanted anything else with the sausage when we complained unless "Do you just want this on a plate?sarcastically" means that. Furthermore, if you're being rude to someone are they going to ask for anything else? We are not even angry about the food anymore but by the lack of customer service.
We want Jordan to see the money that we spent on the food and service as a token of good will. We often go to local places to eat and have never had such a rude customer experience. Perhaps the money can go to ensuring that training can be provided so that staff do not react in the same way that Jordan did when dealing with customer complaints.
Finally, Jordan if it is true that the owners of the cafe are responsible for the unacceptable portions and make you take the customer complaints for it like you said on the phone yesterday, we advise you to look for other employment. Clearly this is not the right...
Read moreWhen we sat down, we had lovely customer service from a waiter (who looked like Toby Regbo) and was really nice and friendly.
Unfortunately, the food was unsatisfactory in terms of quantity. My partners full English only had one piece of bacon, sausage, toast etc. I had the pumpkin brunch and was disappointed by the one piece of toast I received and tiny flakes of goat cheese. I felt that this needed to be expressed more in the menu description. Futhermore, I ordered a sausage for £2 extra and it was very small.
We complained politely to the waiter with green hair but unfortunately her customer service was TERRIBLE. She spoke to my partner very rudely and the whole thing was completely unacceptable and unnecessary given that all we asked for was an extra sausage. Very shocked and disappointed. Other customers felt the about...
