the pitta breads were fantastic when i was an undergrad and postgrad in the late 1980's and early 1990's. There was an Asian supermarket that got delivery on a certain day and they were still warm in their packets and the taste and texture was brilliant. could not find these until recently as Asda, Tesco , Lidl and Dino's are the staple around where i live but when i found the LCB in a Kurdish supermarket and they were terrible . As someone has said the quality has gone down which is a damn shame as you pay extra than the supermarket brand ones. In my day all the really good Kebab places used to get their Pitta from LCB. Maybe the management need to take a look at their quality rather than their high profit margin as i would not spend the extra to buy LCB when the supermarket brands are better. Shame about the decline. Their naans are also hit and miss. If you have a panini press then try to put them in their for a couple of mins checking on them and they turn out decent. You can never beat fresh naan but not that bad when used in a panini press and if dry just spray a bit of...
Read moreIam an Hgv driver and collected from there on Monday. It is a very difficult place to get into & out off but will say, that if you ring them first, they will go above and beyond to help. Please understand they are not hgv drivers and don't fully understand like most what ur trailer does. My advice is if (right handdrive).. Drive in... Reverse out.. Drive back up the bank and reverse back into the yard onto the Dock. I say this as that way you won't need to blind side it, as it is very tight and with the staff not been hgv can't direct u properly, so use them to simply warn you. This place will test ur driving skills but the staff are very helpful and patient. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them for there help, patience and they where very polite, also the people that live nearby, yes came out to watch but not one made any complain or gave any abuse. Thank you to all concerned & i would quite happily collect from...
Read moreIfI could leave no star I would. These are really poor naan and pitta breads. I wrote to them as I found a foreign body in one of their products, but they did not have the courtesy or etiquette to even contact me. There Pittas never puss up. I get the other Brand X who has 3 Pitta bread for a £1 and they always rise.Leicester Bakery products are the worst. they give Pitta, and Naan bread a really poor wrap. I always avoid anything that says Leicester Bakery....
