Love To Eat - Inside Victoria Shopping Centre — Restaurant in Great Britain

So I went towards a table with my 2 children and realised they were closing so began walking away. As I walked away a lady banged into the glass whilst she was trying to leave. I saw and heard the incident then saw 3 members of staff around her. As I was telling my children what had happened to the lady one member of staff ran out to me. I thought she was going to ask me for help but instead, she was so rude and said “excuse me, my managers just banged into the glass trying to come after you because she saw you take something from the table”!

The audacity shocked me! How dare she accuse me of “stealing” the measly packets of sauces and sugar from the table! The sympathy I had for the ‘manager’ quickly disappeared as I realised why she’d ran into the glass: A) The manager is a liar because she clearly didn’t see something that didn’t happen. B) She should know where the door is if she manages the store! C) She didn’t walk into the glass because she “saw me” do something - she walked into the glass because of herself. D) Customer service clearly needs working on. E) I hope the 5p packets of sauces and sugar was worth the “bump”! F) Yes, we were the only brown people...

Worse experience to date in a restaurant.

Where do I start......my family and i was seated next to the till. Unfortunately this was where our bad experience started. The dark haired girl with freckles literally shouted a several customers and staff making us and other people feel very uncomfortable. A few customers came in just asking if there was any tables available and wow can't explain how rude she was to them. She was so rude to literally everyone that walked through the door. We ordered breakfast and it was shocking. We complained but the staff just wasnt interested. As I was paying and she made us feel so uncomfortable, my wife actually said to me, let's just get our family out of here. I am a managing director myself so as I was leaving I said to the waitress with the (dark hair with freckles) if I was a your boss I would have sacked you on the spot without any warnings on how you have behaved today is complete gross misconduct, not only how we was treated but many others coming in and out including you other staff. I actually feel terrible for whoever owns this place because staff like that will just ruin the reputation ofor your business. We will not...

First the positives; the food was tasty (sadly more on that below) the young blonde waitress made a great effort to welcome us and look after us. In fact for our first 45 minutes in this really busy cafe, she was the only member of staff that we saw, and later on, because of the amount of time we'd waited, she gave us complimentary drinks.

And now the negatives; we waited ages, 35 mins to order, 45 mins until we had a drink, at which point we were told there was half an hour delay for the food. This turned out to be pretty accurate. Another waitress then unceremoniously dumped my partner's sandwiches on the table and when asked why the bread was white when brown was ordered, told us that it was because the brown had sold out a while ago! Just as well we weren't really put off, or maybe it was because we were so hungry but we didn't complain about the numerous hairs on her plate. More in fact than there are on my head! My steak pie and chips was nice though, no hairs in sight!

In summary, so near yet so far. With more attention and sufficient staff, this could be a great little cafe. Needs to be less than an hour and a half wait for a quick...
