Mamma Mia Café — Restaurant in Great Britain

Absolutely appalled with the service and attitude of the serving manager. We experienced food delays with no updates or apology offered.

After ordering, we were advised the food will take 5 mins. After 15 mins, we were politely chasing and were still informed it'll be a few minutes. After chasing for the third time, 30 mins after ordering, we were told that there was an issue with the fryer, hence the delay

We would have been fine waiting but we were not informed of the potential delay caused by the fryer, despite having opportunities to tell us. Furthermore, after requesting a refund, the serving manager was utterly rude, unnecessarily defensive and offered no apology with the delay. Very unwelcoming response as "you got your refund, what more do you want?!". Plenty of other welcoming establishments to visit - place...

Me: Er... a kids chicken nuggets and chips, and... a cheeseburger, please. Lady at the counter: OK, that'll be £11, then, please.

small choke What?! However, I did have a hungry 2 year old, ready to be seated, so I took the ticket and saw to my son, first, before queuing back up, again, to query the price.

A different lady had to look up my order on the system, but while she was checking, I looked up at the menu board (different to the one I'd looked at, initially) and saw the prices for myself: Chicken nuggets and chips: £6.50.

Thank the Lord I didn't order any chips with my cheeseburger (since that was an additional cost.) I get that Mamma Mia is situated in a popular tourist resort, but come on! The nuggets and chips weren't even gourmet!

My family (with 2 children) and I had a poor customer service encounter here. We ordered drinks and some chips after our windsor castle tour to relax before heading home. My husband brought some fish and chips from elsewhere, was asked to move. He moved and stayed on our car to eat. My children and I were waiting for my husband to finish eating so we stayed in the cafe. One staff or maybe he is the owner as he said “this is my cafe”, saw me and screamed I told you to move, chop chop (with hand clapping). He was rude. We explained that we bought food here earlier, but he mentioned that it was not good enough. It was such an embarassing experience to be shouted at in a cafe with other customers staring. Would not recommend and we will not be coming back...
