Once upon a Table — Restaurant in Great Britain

This restaurant has only been opened six weeks. The staff were very friendly and the food was exceptional. We were a party of 6 and had a variety of starters from chilli and garlic Prawns with crostini to a hearty plate of vegetable soup. Mains included Cajun chicken pasta, beef stroganoff and steak pie. All of us enjoyed every dish. I hope this new restaurant survives the current climate. It was disappointing to note they had received 8 cancellations on a Saturday night. Please don’t book if you do not intend to go as it is stopping other people from booking online. The only criticism is it took quite a while for our initial drinks order to be taken and delivered but after that everything was first class. Well done...

First time in today for lunch and would go back. Food and service were spot on. Nice looking place and specials board is in full view which is always good as verbally being told usually results in it going in one ear and out the other.......or is that just me 🙃 My only slight grumble was that there was an apple and rhubarb crumble on the menu that didn't appear to have any rhubarb in it that I could see or taste. It was delicious as it was but if you don't have the rhubarb then it's best to let people know or maybe my taste buds are letting me down now. Tried here on a whim last night (Monday) and we are so glad we did! Lovely, cozy atmosphere even though there wasn’t many tables, great service considering it was only one person front of house and one chef, and I can’t even begin to explain how fantastic the food was! I had the chicken dish which had creamed bacon cabbage (one of the best things I’ve had in a while) and my partner had the pork with apple and maple sauce. Both were absolutely superb.
