A Culinary Gem in The Harbour
Silco St Ives delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance, coupled with stunning harbour views, set the perfect tone for a memorable evening.
We indulged in a variety of dishes, each one a delight to the senses. The fish curry was a standout, with its rich, aromatic flavours perfectly balanced by the delicate texture of the fish. The Cornish mackerel was a masterclass in freshness, with the charred skin adding a lovely smoky note that complemented the fish's natural sweetness.
The halloumi was beautifully grilled, with a crispy exterior and a soft, melting interior, topped with a tangy, flavourful sauce that left us wanting more. And let's not forget the flatbread, which was the ideal companion to mop up every last drop of the delectable sauces.
Every dish was a testament to the chef's skill and the quality of the ingredients. The presentation was impeccable, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.
On top of the outstanding food, the service was warm and attentive, making us feel like cherished guests. Whether you're a local or just passing through St Ives, Silco is an absolute must-visit. We can't wait to return! Whenever we have baby sitters we always think about trying new places. But never do. Because why would you go anywhere else. The food is perfect and the cocktails...

I cannot fault the taste of the food, but our meals were as delicious as the staff were hostile. Instead of âsorry I forgot your chips, Iâll add them nowâ, we got âwell I asked if there was anything else and you said noâ (which we certainly did not hear). Service was generally curt, as though we were inconveniencing them with our custom; despite us and one other table being their only customers. We asked if the very loud music could be turned down a little, which was refused with a shrug. Donât go if you have sensory issues. When the food arrived we were taken aback by the meagre portion sizes. âMainsâ cost twice as much but were the same size as âsmall platesâ. The food tasted delicious, but in every other metric our experience was abysmal. After paying the included service charge, we went and got...
Read moreI had such a fantastic time at Silco Bar & Kitchen! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming â perfect whether youâre just stopping by for a drink or settling in for a longer evening. Their menu has a great selection of snacks and dishes, designed to go really well with drinks. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the combinations; everything we ordered was packed with flavor and perfect for sharing.
One of the best parts was their happy hour menu â the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. It made trying a range of dishes really affordable, which was a huge bonus.
Every dish we tried was delicious, but the absolute standout for me was the passion fruit sorbet. It was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, super refreshing, and the ideal way to end the meal. I would honestly come back just for that...
