I order a kilo of coffee recently from Symva, it arrived and I was a bit disappointed to see it was roasted two weeks before I had received it, which got my alarm bells ringing. Iâve gone through 250g so far and still canât get a good pull of espresso out that I am happy with. One bag seemed fairly usual for a medium roast but I opened the second bag and there were very very dark beans mixed with lighter ones which hints to me there has been an issue with the roasting. The cup tasted burnt and extremely bitter. Unfortunately the 4 bags I have received arenât all the same with some looking okay and the last bag looking like a mix of very heavily roasted beans mixed with some lighter roasted. I have been brewing espresso at home for 4 years now on a manual lever machine and feel I have enough experience to be able to call out what I think the issues are with the beans. I canât vouch for the cafe experience, but the online side that I have experienced I am not very impressed at all and wonât be...
Read moreNice looking coffee shop. However I paid £4.95 for and a piece of cake which was so dry it tasted like cardboard.

In future I would recommend they ask if a customer is gluten intolerant and explain this, or at least offer to replace it with a cake that is less dry.
As I left, the owner then decided to offer me a replacement cake, but it was simply too late. Good tasing coffee and a lovely looking cafe, sadly let down by expensive prices and terrible...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting this charming coffee shop, and I must say, the Colombian hand-drip coffee was an absolute delight. The subtle notes of raisin and a winey touch added a unique and enjoyable twist to the flavor profile.
Moreover, the owner, Carlos, made the experience even more memorable with his warm and friendly demeanor. He went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant visit. The combination of great coffee and an extremely affable owner makes me eager to return. This coffee shop has definitely earned a spot on my list...
