The Tolbooth is a historically important pub, dating back centuries and in the shadow of Glasgows Tollbooth Tower at Glasgow Cross, where people were hanged in the olden days! The decor is old world. Unashamedly, a Celtic bar, this is a busy traditional boozer with old style standards of attentive and friendly service. You won't stand long waiting to make your order no matter how deep at the bar.There's a mixture of locals, regulars, shoppers, tourists and people there to enjoy the regular live music. Stopped here as the bar we were going to go to only had 2 people in it. What a find. It was busy. A musician came In and the table we were at was joined into several others.
