This restaurant was highly recommended by a 5* hotel in Glasgow. It was absolutely overpriced and a very unhygienic place to eat. The napkin would not come off the table because it was too sticky. First few pages on the menu were glued together. This glue was quite organic, it was some sort of chutney. I went upstairs to wash my hands before eating, unfortunately there wasn't any soap left so I had to use hand cream to wash :-). It may sound very typical, but I found a hair in my rice. Very quietly I pointed this out to the waitress. She kept saying ''I will change it for you and you do not have to pay for it''. I told her ''it is okay I do not need it just be careful next time please''. I moved this hair with my own tissue and carried on eating. Their waitress turned up with another portion of rice which I did not need and I could not finish either. Now as I was attacking my lovely nan, half way through I found an even longer hair on it. Very quietly I asked for the waitress as there were 4 other people sitting at the table next to me. She turned up and started touching my nan with her bare fingers and she declared it is from a brush that they use to clean ''oil''. Wether it is a hair or metal string from a brush, it should not be in my food. She brought me a new nan but I had lost my appetite. I paid my full bill £27 and £2 tip. Their £13 lamb bhuna was actually some sort of tomato paste where chef mistakenly added too much ginger. For a side dish tadka daal I paid £6 which was not worth it.

5 Stars are not enough to rate Obsession of India. I would rate this 10 stars! I first visited this Glasgow gem in 2018 on a Thursday evening and the place was packed. We were happy to wait for a table, as someone (with impeccable taste) recommended it to us as the BEST India food in Glasgow. Although no one left the restaurant suddenly a small table next to the kitchen was empty. Once seated I noticed the man who had been at the table sitting in a chair next to the coat rack. He offered up his table as his finished his wine. We invited him to join us and he offered us recommendations as he eats there several time a week. The meal was FABULOUS!!! Back in Glasgow in 2022 I fancied another amazing meal. I mentioned the man who gave up his table and the owner said they called him to say we were back. Reunited with an old friend we enjoyed another great meal. On my last night in Glasgow before going to see Sparks at the Barrowlands I returned. On all three occasions the food was spectacular, atmosphere was perfect and the service was impeccable. I'll be back again and again. Thanx to Cammy and Sangeta for the great food and hospitality. Do yourself a favour and stop in for a wonderful meal and a great night out.

This had a lot to live up to with word of mouth singing its praises and it totally lived up to everything said about it , the food was fantastic and the atmosphere great as everybody seemed to be out enjoying themselves but i just want to point out the best thing about the restaurant and that was the service. Ive been in many a fine indian establishment but none matched the quality of the service from everybody on the staff, they were so polite and attentive and when asking for another drink it was there in 30 seconds , please move to Aberdeen so you can show some of the places up here what it means to be the best. Back to the fantastic food , I had the Garlic chilli chicken and the gf had the Chicken Masala which she said was the best she had ever had , both superb meals and a fine way to end our week in Glasgow

“Can that many people be right” is the question I asked myself on the 25 minute walk from the hotel I was staying in for the night, “could it be as good as they say”. Well the short answer is yes!

There’s a reason this place is rated number one at the time of writing, serving up a meal that turned out to be one of the nicest Indian meals I’ve had in a very long time, maybe ever.

I started off with the Chicken Tikka Malai Boti (not before a few popadoms of course), which turned out to be the most tender, juicy piece of chicken I have ever eaten. Marinated in yoghurt and garlic, tender before being baked in the tandoor it was packed with flavour,l and meant I knew it was going to be good from here on out.

Next it was the Chicken Tikka Shahi Karahi, perhaps the nicest curry I’ve ever eaten. Packed with layers of flavour, Smokey, spicy, sweet acidity from the tomato’s and a bite from the raw ginger. The type that you can smell the second it leaves the kitchen, the type that the waiter brings over with a smile knowing how you are for experiencing this for the first time and the type that’ll make me forget a plain old tikka masala for the rest of my life.

So yep, it turns out a 1000-odd people are alright, this is THE place to go if you’re up for a curry in Glasgow, enjoy all those who are lucky enough to live within...

Waste of Money! We went for dinner and found this place very disgusting. There was no check-in for Test & Protect app and the neighbouring table's people were literally on your table, not even 1m distance between two tables (forget about 2m social distancing). We ordered Paneer Tikka as starter and to our surprise it was just 2 small pieces of mere 20g each, was served for £5.5 (even tesco sells 200g paneer at £1.3). We then ordered two Naans (£2.5 each) and one Chicken Tikka Masala as main dish which was of £11. Naans were fine but Chicken Tikka Masala was really tasteless and contains 5 small pieces of chicken only, out of which 2 are tikka and 3 are normal chicken pieces. People are giving it 4-4.5 stars, hence we went for dinner here. But to our surprise, it doesn't taste good as well as the quantity was very less compared to the price of the dish. One star I have given for Naan, apart from this there is nothing much to add. This restaurant is not worth in terms of quality, quantity, price and ambience. I didn't find any other issues, staff was good and payment was fast, only issue was food. P.S. There are no personal issues with the restaurant, it was indeed my experience only.

Appending more text, as the owner seems to be not happy with the review. Just to add, I came alone not in...
