CAFE 1903 @ Hippodrome Circus — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

We visited the café for a quick lunch during our visit to Great Yarmouth. The place is well themed and really beautiful! You have plenty of tables to have a sit in comfortable armchair. It is probably the most beautiful coffee shop of the area.

We had bagels with hot coffee. The bagels were good, nothing exceptional but the price is really cheap so we can't complain. The drinks were okay, they could be improved. My chai was made a large amount of thick syrup and everything was left in the bottom so the drink had almost no chai taste.

Service was a bit unprofessional unfortunately. We first ordered smoked salmon bagels, we paid and then the Lady told us that they no longer have salmon. Asked us to choose something else which is fine of course. However, our new choice was a bit cheaper and she didn't offered a refund for the difference. We had to ask her which isn't very...

Cafe 1903 in Great Yarmouth is an absolute gem! Choosing a spot to celebrate my birthday with relatives was a breeze, thanks to this charming cafe. The interior, adorned with former circus signage, is nothing short of spectacular—my photos don't do it justice. The menu offers flatbreads, wraps, and toasties at a measly £4.50 each, while the iced coffees, boasting generous proportions, are a steal at £3. Don't even get me started on the delightful selection of cakes, priced at a mere £2.50—they'd easily fetch higher prices in the city. It's baffling why this place isn't packed to the brim. First time in Great Yarmouth and hadn't had a decent coffee for days. A Google search and reviews lead me to the other end of the beach. Persuading the family to pass other establishments keeping my fingers crossed that CAFE 1903 would be worth it. Not disappointed in the slightest. Great service, homemade cakes and cookies, children's hot chocolate, a flat white (perfect temperature) and oat flat white, all great.
