FOOD POISONING ALERT, DO NOT EAT HERE... Me and my partner went into this cafe and ate, yea ok food tasted alright, and she had to tell us about a horrible dad who came in and told her to take the food back and shouted at his kids, strange we thought? That's when I noticed pots being washed with no running water and the dirty bathroom. we then went to play on the 2p machines at the arcade, which is what I came there for, so about 45min later, I started to feel ill then I needed to leave and be sick, again and again and again, with very painful tummy cramps, I also had to find a toilet which was very difficult, my partner was very worried as Iv been having problems with my tummy already, he said I had food poisoning so he took me to the a and e but on the way I basically I had go to the toilet outside, I had to go =( THEN waited, 3 hours in a and e to be told to go to another building to wait another 4 hours but by this time I felt a little better thanks to me drinking water and kipping on my partnerd lap wrapped in coats and jumpers, so I wanted to go home, it was a very very horrible day thanks to that woman and I'll probably never go there again Oh and she tried telling me she did 120 breakfasts in 1hr the day before, I'v ran a couple of cafés and that's not an easy job, I realise now that she's just trying to cover up her terrible food DO NOT EAT...
Read moreUnfortunately we visited this cafe today. We ordered a cappuccino, a banana milkshake and a toastie. When ordering these items the waitress called Angel (stout girl with grown out bleached hair) asked me if I wanted tea to which I replied no 3 times over. She then said okay and I continued my order. When our order arrived we were given a cappuccino, a milkshake, a toastie and a cup of tea (bearing in mind there were only 2 people in my party) . We told the waiter who was very nice that we hadn't ordered a tea which caused confusion. He then spoke to the lady who seemed to be in charge who then questioned Angel the waitress about our order infront of us. Angel said that I had never said no to the tea and proceeded to speak badly about me within earshot of me. We were givena refund and got a grunt from Angel who called over the woman seemingly in charge to do the refund. We ate and drank our order. The cappuccino and toastie were nice however the milkshake tasted like sugary water with some weak flavouring and was served in the tin it was made in. When we had finished our food and got up to leave, we loudly said thank you and goodbye behind Angel the waitress to which we had no reply and a snotty remark. Avoid if you don't like...
Read moreThe most miserable unkempt staff I've ever encountered, no please or thank you despite us being polite to them. Everything was obviously an effort for them. Wish we'd sat down first before ordering food so we could have witnessed the dirty tables with food remnants underneath. Not good value for money as bacon was cold and fatty, coffee was cold and all day breakfast was small. Staff were so sullen and unapproachable, we didn't say anything and just agreed never to go back. Far better surroundings, atmosphere, staffing and quality of food in many other places along the seafront for the same price or less. Thought we'd try it for a change and regret it. Cringed watching the girl with the pony tail combing her hair through with her fingers then pulling 2 slices of bread out of the bag. Was an older lady called Sarah in charge and a girl with long grown out bleached hair in a pony tail behind the counter who both need to go on a Food and Hygiene course asap. Young lad waiting tables could do with showing a bit of enthusiasm too. To get to the dirty toilets you have to go through a kitchen area, how is that hygienic? Just to clarify we didn't use the toilet, just walked straight back out even though we...
