Monday night, there were 4 other tables of people in. Service was slow and lacked attention. We could have easily ordered 3-4 rounds of drinks but as it happened we had to call someone over for the second round. No lager left after “a busy weekend”. Decor was fine. Tables spaced nicely. Service was awful. Had to get attention of waiting staff for anything. Missed one of our mains off the order, waiter seemed embarrassed and confused (he didn’t take our order) he said it seemed odd to only order one main and a couple of sides. No apologies for missing the meal. Honesty in these situations goes a long way. Waited for it whilst my sides went cold and my husband ate. It came out, seemed to have been microwaved - sauce piping hot and meat just warm. Meat was burnt on the bottom. Food was mediocre, starter was spicy, dips were spicy, and main meals were tasteless. We did not enjoy our food. We usually tip everywhere we go but could not tip on this occasion. I worked in waitressing years ago and I always tip but the service was so awful I couldn’t. The staff need training to be more attentive and look out for customers who may want or need something. This will enhance profits and customer satisfaction. I appreciate this is a new restaurant but some of the issues we had were basic customer care.
