The Castle — Restaurant in Hinckley and Bosworth

Right so after visiting this cafe for a second time I have made my mind up I will not be returning how hard is it to get someone’s order right? After placing my order of a breakfast no mushrooms can I have beans instead waitress says yes or course everything was ok at this point also I’d like a vanilla latte no problem so I paid and took my seat with my pal , patiently waiting one breakfast comes out I’m looking round thinking mine will arrive soon? Soon after the waitress brings a breakfast I look at her and politely say where’s the beans ?and I can’t eat that soggy toast so off she trots I’m thinking she will be back in a minute ten mins pass I’m not sure if she’s lost? But luckily she comes back with my breakfast I’m thinking great as she puts it down I look at her and say where’s my tomatoes?? I did ask for both she opologised and soon returned with a few tomatoes so time to get stuck in it took a while so after a few mins I say to my pal I wonder where my latte is so I say excuse me u didn’t bring my latte 3 times I had to say but they denied I ordered one so while I sat eating I could hear the two talking saying he has to pay make him pay so she brings it over £2.90 I say I’m not paying for it I ordered it with my breakfast so after messing my breakie up and no customer service she then walks off with my beloved latte ,so I just give up by this stage enough is enough how hard is it to get a simple task of a breakie and a drink I worry for there futures as if you can not do simple tasks what does later life await you? Maybe stay off your phone whilst your at work ? Maybe always remember the customer is always right? Remember without customers you will be sat at home on your 📞 So let’s call it a day on this one it’s just a basic back street cafe who struggle with basic communication and struggle with...

I really did try and eat this food but I was just attacked by flies, couldn’t put my arms on the tables as they were sticky, the place smelt like a museum and there was a pot that had clearly sat there for a while with chewing gum and old tea bags. All food was clearly deep fried in the same fryer. Shame really as I don’t get to have food with my wife often due to work commitments. Would totally get it if the food was cheap but it’s expensive and you don’t know the prices until you hit the till as all signage doesn’t have a price list. Avoid this place like the plague, I will be adding this to many social media groups and pages to get the word out. Food standards need to really take a look at this place, shame for your staff to have to serve this...

I have walked pasted many times! Though on this occasion l stepped it. At first slightly out dated decor. Menu offered many different appetisers. Ordering just a simple sandwich did take long and a hot drink, service to order was quick and very welcoming. Did seem a long time though worthwhile, my sandwich came toasted? Unexpected and also a side salad? Definitely not expecting that, considering it was a breakfast sandwich. I have to say the food was very nice and enjoyable. As we can't always predict who attends a location. You have to make it worthwhile while you are there.
