The Waffle Emporium — Restaurant in Hinckley and Bosworth

From what I understand waffles emporium has been taken over very recently. We were regular customers before this.

We visited today and the whole experience was terrible. Firstly whilst ordering the lady serving was a little flustered and was getting a bit frustrated with us as we were taking our time whilst ordering. We went through the order to ensure we got it right. When the food came out the pancakes were crispy and hard. When we mentioned this they just told us not to eat it and didn't show any compassion. They also brought out a waffle instead of a crepe and the cookie dough didn't even look like cookie dough. As we were leaving we mentioned it again, the gentleman who served this time wasn't bothered didn't show any empathy and argued when we asked for a refund. He offered to get the chef to explain what a crepe was.

Although we got a refund in the end for the crepe the customer service was terrible. Will not be...

Although I've had a good delivery from this desert shop, going and picking up the items was another experience entirely. Its unfortunate that they were short on drivers, hence my driving down to order. The cup holder provided broke halfway to my car, and once I set off my sister noticed the cup had split. It ended up spilling in my footwell all over her. The rest of the order was still intact so I just went home rather than try to park and have them make another one so close to closing time. I was also concerned about how things were made in there. No aprons, no gloves. Things spilled all over the floor. Cannot fault the customer service, but the practice wasn't up...

I love ordering from this place as most of the products are great quality. My favourite is quadruple cookie dough. My only complaints is sometimes the cookie dough is very hard in the middle and I’ve emailed to address this and received nothing in response. Another issue Is most of the time the store is unavailable to order from on Uber eats and just eat and the website doesn’t allow pickup so I’m often not sure how to order except to walk in, which I’m not a fan of.
