Tollingtons cafè — Restaurant in Hinckley and Bosworth

Such a snug gem of a cafe. Parking is no problem... I leave the car at the Car Wash across the road or after shopping at Lidl car park, but regulars pull up outside and pop in for their usual orders. I love the fact that you can communicate with the staff as they prep and cook your order which reminds me of an American Diner. It's worth driving out of your way just to get the warm local welcome from lovely Louise - the cherished ex-owner of The Queens Arms Pub in Leire - and her partner in crime the chef who is good entertainment. The pair are always happy to customise your order and in fact, are happy in general (which makes a difference from places with clueless & disinterested waiting staff)...

I would say Tollingtons is probably the best cafe in Hinckley (the best rating by far but ignore Man's best friend and Hinckley Antics reviews which are totally uncalled for and untrue!! ). Brad and Lou are very friendly hosts, food is excellent and it's always clean. Not only that they will also do any request for food that isn't on the menu aswell as home cooked. Also you meet some interesting people in there who are always friendly!! Come here as much as possible as you always feel welcome. 😀 Update they now do specials on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Had the Rhubarb, apple and blackberry crumble ( all locally sourced produce ) with custard delicious. 😋 ( with photo.) Menu updated...

Vegan burger which was supposed to be on a 'bed of lettuce and tomatoes ' with mayo had none of those. Called the cafe znd was passed over to Louise who said that the order didn't come through as that just chees onions and mushrooms. Told her didn't have mushrooms either said they were having a lot of problems with incorrect pricing on the just eat site. There was no option to amend menu item so I do not believe her reason for the delivered food not matching the menu description. The worst food I have had delivered.... worse than...
