During our visit to the Isle of Wight for my husband's birthday treat, we found ourselves at a delightful restaurant. Even though we didn't book a table in advance, the staff were incredibly accommodating and found us a spot. Their warm hospitality was evident from the start. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and every item was delicious particularly Parotta with Chicken curry. While there was a bit of a wait for the food as there was one chef at that time, but it was definitely worth it we regretted not taking any pictures because the food looked as good as it tasted.Their music and atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. The service was exceptionally welcoming, and it was heartening to see a mix of customers, including many English patrons, enjoying the Tamil cuisine. My family was delighted with the South Indian cuisine. I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re planning a trip to the...

Booked for the Buffet that's advertised as being on four nights a week at £14.99 a head, on arrival the board outside said £16.99ph, after we had been sat at the table for 10 mins I asked about the Buffet only to be told that there wasn't enough booked for it so they weren't doing it, while I understand they don't want to waste food, how are you supposed to know if what you specifically booked for will be available?, there is nothing on the website to say it may not be, I wonder how many of the four nights advertised (if any) it is actually on ?, ended up going for a lovely meal at the Thai restaurant (Pinto Thai) just down the road that gave excellent service, beautiful food and what do you know ?, what they advertised was available 🤔, going by a lot of the other reviews about Curry Leaf I think we had a...

I recently visited Curry Leaf in Ryde, Isle of Wight, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was completely empty, and no staff was present to greet or assist us. We waited for several minutes before someone finally appeared.

The service was lackluster, to say the least. The staff seemed unorganized and inattentive, even forgetting the food we had ordered. We had to remind them, which further delayed our meal.

When the food eventually arrived, it was far from satisfactory. The quality and taste were below expectations, making the experience even more underwhelming.

Overall, poor service and subpar food made this visit a regrettable one. I wouldn’t recommend Curry Leaf based on...

We had a very disappointing experience at Curry Leafs. The customer service was extremely poor. We ordered Chicken 65, and it was excessively salty—practically inedible. When we raised the issue, the manager initially insisted there was nothing wrong with it and claimed it was “absolutely fine.” Only after we requested him to actually taste the dish did he realize the problem. He then offered a replacement, but by that point, we had already lost confidence and declined. This kind of attitude towards customer feedback is unacceptable. Based on this experience, we absolutely do not recommend this place.

We were a bit skeptical to try this place as there are some pretty harsh reviews. I can happily say that I don’t understand how those reviews came about, as our experience was great. The food was the star of the show (as it should be) , and would particularly recommend trying some of the Sri Lankan specialties which were delicious. The restaurant was rather empty which doesn’t make for a great atmosphere unfortunately, but overall it was great.

What a treat it was to eat hearty Indian food on the Isle. The guys working on the till are kind and passionate. The tried a lamb sizzler dish which was just pure magic. The lamb seemed to be a little over cooked but even then the dish was pretty much bang on. Overall a must to go if you want to eat decent Indian grub.
