We came here based on a friend’s recommendation, and it satisfied our needs extremely well and quickly as well. For a starter, my personal preference is a Kashk-e Bademjan, which I’d get every time I go to a Persian restaurant. This Kashk was probably among, if not THE best I’ve ever had, and the bread on the side was fresh. The special for four, which is what we got, consisted of one or two skewers of Koobideh, a skewer of Shashlik with grilled veg, a skewer of Joojeh and a skewer of lamb chops. The Koobideh was beefy, savoury and just the perfect amount of oiliness. The Shashlik was tender and juicy; the Joojeh was also this, but with the addition of saffron and a tang to it, which is what you’d look for in a Joojeh. The lamb chops were also great, as they were grilled to perfection with a great fat to meat ratio. The chips were not like normal chips, and instead were crispy, fresh, just the right amount of greasy and delicious. The rice on the side was, obviously, cooked precisely and there was no need for the butter on the side. Their Doogh was also wonderful, with some crushed ice to chill it and that refreshing minty and salty taste. The atmosphere was also great, with elegant furniture and decor, and a nice selection of relaxing music playing alongside it. Oh, and their absolutely excellent waiting was a big plus too. It took less than 20 minutes for the starters and the main course to arrive! All in all, despite the price which really isn’t bad considering the fact that three people ate to their heart’s content, the restaurant was an absolute charm and as a Persian through and through, I strongly recommend it to you all! Bill: ~£90 (~£30/person (starter for each person, bread, main, sides and drinks))

Absolutely excellent food and service, run by such nice people too. We had some Persian tea followed by the seer sausages and borek panir. The sausages were tasty and rich, the borek panir were delicious. We also shared the jooje chicken and the lady who served us told us how we could either melt butter into the rice or mix it with the grilled tomato, we did a bit of both and it was excellent. We also had some sesame bread which was great for soaking up all the sauces. At this point we were incredibly content but it was impossible to say no to some Baghlava which was served with cream and topped with cinnamon, again, absolutely excellent. Just to add all this was only £35 (granted we weren’t having alcohol and shared a main on this occasion so expect a little more if you are eating and drinking a bit more) but not only was the food and service exceptional but the value was too. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Asked the ? What is Persian Quisine? Imo the simplicity of the food is a plus , this was delivered from the moment we walked in and sat down. Complimentary olives in some sort of mint herb sauce delicious! Starter falafel with a pot of humous & side of salad. This accompanied with bread coated with sesame seed again faultless. Main consisted of lamb skewer chicken skewer with rice side salad yoghurt dip with a cheeky knob of butter melted in the middle of the rice... Seated soon as we arrived b4 our booking time which is always nice . Pleasant dining experience staff extremely attentive and offered advice as regards the food 👍🏾 Will definitely be going again.

My partner and I visited Apadana restaurant on Friday evening. We were greated warmly at the door by our host and hostess. Shown to our table, we were offered drinks and the menu. Our drinks arrived promptly and we were left to peruse the menu. Once we had decided our hostess took our order and offered us more options to complement our starters. These were brilliant and complemented each other. Giving us a wider experience of the menu. Stuffed Vine leaves and a sini meze starter. With toasted sesame tafoonbread. Our main course was fillet of lamb, beautifully tender, with chicken and lamb skewers. Saffron rice, our hostess adviced us to put the butter pat in the rice and then add the tomato's as well. The food was served prompted and hot Well spiced and we advised to try sumac a spiced herb on our meat to enhance the flavour. Which it did. Also a portion of Tafoon sesame bread. Our hostess attended to our needs with impeccable manners, there was no rush at any point in the meal. Or when we were enjoying our coffee. We thoroughly our enjoyed the food and felt the whole meal was excellent. My partner are looking forward to returning many more times. Apandana Persian Resturant is excellent Food...

Had a meal here with my wife on a Friday evening. We were sat at a table close to the door which was draughty whenever the door opened. The restaurant was also very cold so I ended up sat in my coat. The restaurant was very busy with 2 tables of about 20 as there were 2 birthday parties in. Consequently it was very noisy to the point where we were struggling to hold a conversation. We ordered starters which were sucek (beef sausages) and my wife had garlic mushrooms. We then had to order bread to go with the starters which I thought was a bit mean. The starters were okay and we then had a 50 minute wait for our main courses. I had a chicken kebab and a minced lamb kebab with saffron rice. It came with 1 grilled green pepper, a tomato, a bit of salad, and a small pot of garlic mayonnaise. It was all a bit bland I'm afraid particularly the lamb kebab. It was crying out for some dips or a spicy sauce to liven things up. Overall, I found the food disappointing and expensive for what we had. The staff were lovely though and apologised for the delay as they explained there were only 2 waiters working due to staff shortages. Sadly, we won't be returning and I can't...
