Primo Italian Restaurant Huddersfield — Restaurant in Kirklees

Rang to book a table for me and my boyfriend to go in, the lady on the phone said no problem just walk in. We get to the restaurant and we are sat right infront door, freezing cold and windy draft. Then we ask the lady if we could move tables she says no problem and moves us which was great! No one comes up to ask for our drink order we’re sat waiting and eventually a man comes over and asked to take our order. He proceeds to tell us there is no dough for pizzas with a snug look on his face avoiding eye contact. Why wasn’t this told on the phone or as we walked into the restaurant, and the attitude of the waiter who told us stank. Me and my boyfriend get up to leave and the other waitresses around us looked confused asking if we was okay to which we told them we were wanting pizza and you have no dough and she looks extremely confused. There was plenty of others in the restaurant eating pizza. It’s not the running out of pizza dough which is this issue (although very bizzare for an Italian restaurant on a Saturday night) it was the bad attitude of the waiter who told us and the lack of communication or service. We had are first meal out over lockdown. I was not happy with the way we were treated by the women serving on Tuesday evening 15th Sept Waited 2:46 mins for two courses .. Food was too salty, poor attention to presentation. Made an error with the bill and didn’t offer 30% off the main menu.

Over charged me for a drink .. Didn’t give my guests folks and had to ask three times.. also waited 30 mins for my drink..

Shocking really after we had been coming here appr 8 years I will not be returning.

Eat out to help out.. That’s not how we felt, it was grab as must as we can from the clients .. Adding all this salt is not healthy but the reason they do that is to get you to drink more clearly ... Not happy Sorry I had to message as I felt very strongly.. even when they had been asked to call me...

What a great find! Helpful and pleasant staff, and SUPERB food. .We started with a Mozzarella, tomato + avocado salad to share with a nice pesto drizzle and herbs and went on to have the Pollo Funghi - beautifully cooked, tender chicken in a tasty sauce with loads of delicious Porcini mushrooms -full of flavour, and the lassagne which was everything you could want a lassagne to be. The accompanying fries and zucchini fritters were wonderful. Crisp & light. We finished with a great Tiramisu, coffee and a glass of rum & Limoncello. Absolutely great food at an amazingly good price ....Even with a celebratory bottle of Moet champagne and after dinner liqueurs, the price for the two of us was under £100!! Just give it a try You...
