Worst food ever!
Firstly, my partner ordered a "Milky Coffee", what came out of the machine was more like a standard coffee with extra coffee, I opted for a Latte, however, and what I got was flavoured water.. The taste of water was literally stronger than the taste of coffee.
We then both got a breakfast, hers was a small, mine a large, both customised to our liking.
In both cases, the hash browns' exterior were rock solid, and the potato inside was next to none existent, "no worries, I'll make do", I thought. Next, the fried bread had clearly been thrown in a deep fat fryer, you expect bread to hold SOME oil, but this was absolutely dripping! The bacon was too undercooked for me personally, but this was my own fault as I didn't specify I don't like it still oinking.. I don't know what happened with the eggs, but that's the first time I've ever seen white (actual white, not clear) fluid run from them, which then mixed with the tomatoes and formed a pink residue, that was off putting..
Finally, and fortunately for my partner doesn't like them, as she was saved from the horror that was the mushrooms, usually one of my favourite parts of a breakfast (those, and hash browns, which, as I said, where knackered), they had a weird, almost off, dairy-like taste to them, I only had one, but regretted putting it in my mouth the second it touched my tongue, not wanting to spit it out in a public place, I had to deal with the trauma of chewing it as quickly as possible and swallowing it (literally feeling sick for the rest of the day, knowing that was in me now). I moved the mushrooms aside and that's when I noticed the smell, if you've ever picked fresh mushrooms and forgot about them for a couple of days, leaving them in a warm spot, then you will know EXACTLY how these smelled.. A couple of years ago, my neighbour died and wasn't discovered for weeks, the smell of a dead body pouring through the wall still didn't smell half as bad as morrisons' mushrooms!
At least the toast was good, but you can't really ruin toast, can...
Read moreAbsolute dive…came here as was in Morecambe at lunchtime and the free parking was a draw. Had come out at lunchtime to do errands and kids were hungry. Found a table, luckily I had some wipes as the table even though it had been wiped was filthy, as others have said it needs a full deep clean. Splatters and splashes everywhere all over the coffee machines floor, all surfaces, menu was filthy and ripped. Would have gone elsewhere but it was getting late. My child’s mushy peas were actually crusty. My toast was rock hard and inedible. Everything was cold. I struggled the find a mug that wasn’t chipped or dirty. I asked for some condiments and the server shouted something as she walked off so I went over to the counter and she was bellowing about having too many things to do. She gave me one sachet of sauce between 3 of us. I noted her hands were filthy as well. I cannot believe this place has not been shut down it’s probably one of the worst places I’ve ever been and looking at the other reviews it has been like this for a while. Even with the free kids meal it worked out about the same as the famous fast food places, I’m seriously regretting eating here and hoping I’ve not caught...
Read moreWent for the first time for a quick bite to eat with my husband and baby. All I can say is that the food I had at hospital after recently having my baby was miles better than this place. Waited 30 mins for egg, beans and toast, and a jacket potato. Jacket potato was slightly undercooked, tuna was tasteless and the egg, beans and toast tasted bland, overcooked and reheated.
Worst part of the experience though was the atmosphere, it was so depressing and felt like a prison cafeteria. There was nothing on the walls, lighting was awful, noise from the furniture deafening, no music at all, drab paint job, dirty tables littered with food, used plates and rubbish. The 'self serve' coffee machines and the pay area, coupled with the above, made it feel like a soup kitchen.
1 star for the staff - they didn't do anything above and beyond but they were polite.
Will never go...
