Nando's Lancaster — Restaurant in Lancaster

It's was pretty busy at 16:00 which was in the middle between lunch and dinner. It was a good indication of the popularity. The waiter at reception was friendly and we got a table with 5min. Even though we had an option to order at the till we tried the new modern way with the QR codes on the table. It was effortless to get the order done, and a bit more time to get all the payment details loaded. Once done it took 35min for food to arrive which was good considering the buzz in the place. Food was Mmmmmmm delicious. In fact the chicken was still juicy and tender. Excellent and far better than the Nando's in South Africa that serve burnt offerings!!. Well done. We initially didn't plan to have desserts but the experience was so great, so we prolonged it but hitting the dessert menu. If there was anything negative to say it was the tomato sauce bottles that were all empty. Plenty of options to suit every taste. Attention was paid to make sure the food was allergy-free. The bottomless fizzy drinks are great. Food was tasty and enjoyable but slightly overpriced. Sauce and allergy options were clearly labelled on the food. The veggie bean burger crumbled and squeezed apart whilst being eaten, though, which made things a bit messy. As far as service guess, the young man who 'welcomed' us at the door (he wasn't very welcoming) was miserable and looked like he'd had enough of his day, and was just as miserable towards further customers arriving after us. He just couldn't be bothered. However, the other staff were great, especially the man who was managing the team and the young lady taking our order at the counter. Ordered and paid for extras on my wrap - weren’t put on. Staff kindly offered to remake my wrap. New wrap came but without chilli jam and perinaise. One half of my wrap did have the smallest amount of Chilli jam. Manager came to speak to me and said that the last wrap did have cheese on but it had just melted so couldn’t see it? Hmm…The employee I took it too said there wasn’t any cheese after checking - so don’t know why there was any need in making this comment? Manger then said that the chilli jam just hadn’t been spread across the wrap but didn’t say anything about the missing perinaise? Just making excuses and blaming me for poor food quality?
