We often go for lunch here and have a pasty, very nice it is too. This time we decided to go for afternoon tea. It was really good, everything was freshly baked and there was plenty for two people. You can choose your fillings, we had 3 x half baguettes each with egg mayo, ham and tomato and cheese and onion chutney. There was also two slices of quiche, two macarons, two custard slices quarters, two beautiful stodgy brownies, two sausage rolls, pork pies and two scones complete with clotted cream and jam. All finished off with a huge pot of tea. Stuffed and very satisfied.

Me & my partner are frequent visitors of the Cornish bakery, on a few occasions we sit in which is great service but usually choose the take out option, the breakfast wraps are always the same delicious, reasonably priced menu item(one vegetarian one normal). Lots of bakery items, different syrup options compared to other locally owned cafes & the coffee is always great, does what it needs to. Staff are attentive & friendly always, i look forward to trying pastries soon & visiting for the foreseeable future.

My parents and I love The Cornish Bakery! They go most weekends for breakfast and I join then whenever I can. The big breakfast is my dad's favourite. He's tried breakfasts at other places around Lancaster but he says nothing can compete with this one! I love trying different things and I have always enjoyed everything I've chosen. The bacon and sausage are high quality and the eggs are always perfect. I cannot fault it. The staff are always welcoming and friendly too 😊

My partner and I are vegan. We sat down and ordered the vegetarian breakfast and asked if the egg could be substituted for more mushrooms on one and an extra hash brown on the other. Was advised they don’t do swaps… at the weekend - because they get busy! Looking around, place only half full. How hard is it to add more mushrooms to one breakfast, that already had mushrooms, and an extra hash brown to the other breakfast, that already had hash browns. In this day and age of businesses going out of business, we walked out and spent our £25 elsewhere. What a pathetic ‘rule’ - no swapping to accommodate. Also, removing one egg from the breakfast would not result in a price reduction! Bad experience -...

My review is for a take-away buffet (for 12) that we have pre-ordered with the Cornish Bakery in Lancaster for the multiple times we have held in-store events (I have a local boutique) over the past few years. The food is lovely and really well-presented and priced really fairly for the amount that we received. It all came perfectly packaged to transport with extras such as napkins, garnish and dipping sauces. The staff were so accommodating, making adjustments for what we needed and communication even over the busy Christmas was great. Takes a little bit of the stress off planning these things and we will return to them every time! Would highly recommend if you need...

Apple & stuffing, Black pudding Sweet chilli jam and Traditional pork pies. I purchased a range of pork pies for Christmas Boxing Day lunch. Me and all my family were pleasantly surprised with quality. Each pork pie flavours are outstanding in taste, filling and pastry. I’ve pass the shop many times but unfortunately thought they only made Cornish pasties and gratefully called in to an amazing experience. The enticing smells hit me as I entered the bakery and the overwhelming produce on offer is Brilliant. Didn’t know they had a cafe as well. Definitely going back for more and inviting the family out for there afternoon tea experience. Well worth ten gold star...
